Great Listen

Very well done! I am impressed how well the writing and the reader get me in grossed in the story line.

Not the best narrator

I like Carly’s books but these were progressively thin on content from first to last. Could just be i did not click with narrator so it took me a while to listen to whole series.

Don’t do it

The story is not bad at all but the narrator is just awful. I made it through 3 1/2 books before I just didn’t care about the story anymore.

Great books

I enjoyed all five books in the series. Each title is different and enjoyable. You will enjoy.

I really enjoyed reading this author.  I look forward to reading more books by this author in the near future.

Ear noise

Character definition, the storyline was strictly an outline, for all the books. I love the author's other work. This however, was not it. Also the narrative was weak though I don't think Sean East could have breathed life into this. It was ear noise.

Great light read

A very nice series involving stories that intertwined. Romantic and just the right kind of sexy without over doing it.

Simply Sinful- {Kane & Kayla} (triggers: assault, prostitution, mental health). I didn't really like this book as much as I do the other books by this author. Though I found the concept intriguing, the story itself was slow. It's also not as steamy as previous books. Both of the characters I found annoying on some level. I only hope the next book in the box set is better.

Simply Scandalous: Logan & Catherine: I didn't like this book that much. It was kind of boring. No real antagonist and the heroine just kept going back and forth about being with Logan. Catherine is Kayla's sister from the previous book. She meets Logan while working an event at Logan's family's home. Logan knows immediately that he wants her but she knows that she can't have him. The story is hot and has some funny moments but that's it. It's just kind of blah.

Simply Sensual- Ben and Grace. The matriarch of the family is at it again, trying her best to set up her granddaughter with the hot p.i. Ben meets with Emma under the impression that he's hired to keep an eye on Grace while living in New York to make sure she's ok. Grace, younger sister to Logan, is trying hard to make it on her own without the Montgomery money. She has a full time job and likes taking pics in the park. Only someone has threatened her and her hot new neighbor isn't having it. Once again, I'm not really into this book. It wasn't really exciting. It felt like Grace was throwing herself at Ben and Ben even though he wanted her kept going back and forth because of his job. It was very much similar to the previous book.

Body Heat- Jake & Brianne. Triggers- sexual assault, drugs, assault. This fourth book in the series was definitely different but just didn't quite hit, for me. The story was just kind of slow and the end was very anticlimactic considering the dramatic buildup. Once again there's a pushy family member focusing on setting up her brother and who is better than the physio therapist who doubles as a waitress. Brianne is hired thinking she's there to provide therapy to Jake. Jake is a cop, who is currently out on medical after getting shot. Though that's not stopping him from trying to catch the drug dealer who shot him. I didn't really feel a connection with these two and the story was kind of slow. The narrator was terrible this time. Very monotone for both characters.

Simply Sexy- Colin & Rina: so I have to say that this book was the most boring out of the whole series. So Emma is up to her shenanigans again but this time she has a job at a newspaper writing a dating column for the elderly. Here we meet Colin, who's working to save the paper his adopted father owns and Rina, another journalist writing dating advice. Rina is recently widowed and trying to get back on the horse again with a hookup and Colin is just the man. Colin shies away from commitments especially since his wife left him. But he's definitely interested in hooking up with Rina. I didn't really feel a connection with these two characters and honestly I was more interested in Emma's love interest. I do have to say the small love scenes we got had some steam. It was nice to see characters from previous books and there's definitely some humor, I just didn't like this one. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Poor narration

Narrator made all male characters sound mentally challenged at best. Tempo made following story hard to follow and painful to finish. I’ll do better at noticing narrator’s name in future and avoiding
