Story
Seven-year-old Anna was smiling when she was given the news. It’s not that she misunderstood what she heard, but her smile froze as her brain stopped thinking and her breathing slowed. To her older sister Frances, Anna’s smile looked like one of ignorance and foolishness, but both were misconceptions. Anna’s smile was one of horror. She was the reason Liz would not be returning home.

Publisher's summary
Anna desperately needs her family, but how can a family who needs rescuing save her?
Seventeen-year-old Anna, the ninth child of ten, has returned home after three months in a locked psych ward on the fifth floor of Advocate Hospital. Together with her parents and siblings, Anna struggles to improve when she is immersed in her family’s inability to discuss the tragedy that occurred ten years ago. Though Anna continues therapy with her psychiatrist Dr. Ellison, her bad situation worsens when she returns to high school. Ashamed of her failures and the sheer apathy she feels from others, Anna is forced into making rash decisions as she contemplates the worst. Building on the beloved story in The Fifth Floor.

Story
The modern audience hasn't had a chance to truly appreciate the unknowing dread that readers would have felt when reading Bram Stoker's original 1897 manuscript. Most modern productions employ campiness or sound effects to try to bring back that gothic tension, but we've tried something different. By returning to Stoker's original storytelling structure - a series of letters and journal entries voiced by Jonathan Harker, Dr. Van Helsing, and other characters - with an all-star cast of narrators, we've sought to recapture its originally intended horror and power.

"Your daughter is dead." When Kat Cavanaugh hears the words every mother dreads, her perfect world shatters. She takes in the beautiful long blonde hair, torn yellow dress, and chipped blue nail-varnish. It can’t be real. And then the police add the word "suicide". But Kat refuses to believe them. 4 STARS
This book is a sequel to “The Fifth Floor.” It picks up where the previous book left off. Anna’s journey continues with many twists and turns. There were moments when I was in tears. Keep listening until the end. It is a beautiful story.
The narration was well done, by Kristen Jones. She voices the protagonist perfectly.
There’s very good teamwork between author and narrator. I’m hoping to find more from them in the future.

gripping tale of struggle
just like ziggy hit home in a lot of ways I wasn't expecting. it tells a realistic and touching story of what life is like in a family who has lost a child but more so from the eyes of a sibling who feels lost in it all. the story manages to keep you engaged and feels relatable despite the 1980s setting. definitely a good read

Just Like Ziggy
This was another good story in this series. Dysfunction in a family after the death of a child leads to mental health issues in a teen.It was well narrated by Kristen Jones. I was given this book free for an honest review.

Riveting Story!
You'll be hooked from the first chapter! Julie Oleszek continues the story of Anna as she navigates her own struggles and tries to overcome further difficulties.
Julie Oleszek tells an incredible story and Kristen Jones brings it to life through the audiobook. I highly recommend this audiobook for your next listen!

Remarkable series
I absolutely love this series. Julie has done such a good job addressing mental health challenges in young adults. She pulls out all of my emotions-I laugh, cry and most of all, carry this series with me. I’ve reread all of her books a number of times.

Totally relatable
Great story line especially relating things with Ziggy. I have recommended these books to several friends.
Mental health doesn't get recognized enough. Can't wait till the last book comes out on audio.

Evocative
You can, and should forgive the past. Moving forward becomes less daunting.
I remember crying for Ziggy as a child.

Love this series
This audio book was so good. Second book in a series of three. Just like Ziggy wa so good I couldn't wait to get back to it every time I had to stop. The narration was done perfectly and I found myself so totally involved in the story. Can't wait until audio of third book comes out. Highly recommend.

A Timely Topic
I just love how Julie has expanded on The Floor. Teen mental health is such an important issue and needs to be talked about. This book, like The Floor, made me laugh and cry. As a Mom with an adult that suffered as a teen with mental health issues and now lives with it, this touched me deeply.
