Wonderful mix of hockey and romance

Lucy and Bennett start as enemies but are forced together by the hockey team's PR. She has a podcast and he's a hockey player who's in the romance book club as PR. He falls first for her & then the forced proximity helps her fall for him. Great narration.

Great narration!

This was a fun listen. I enjoyed their banter and the way they meet.

Lucy is a major hockey fan with a podcast about her favorite team along with being a bad ass paramedic. She’s not loving the hockey teams new PR stunt and isn’t shy about it on her podcast.

Bennet is a hot and cocky hockey star of the team and he is part of the PR stunt. He is determined to win over Lucy to admit she liked it.

Great banter, easy to read, overall a good book.

The narration is excellent.

Well, I love hockey romance so I didn't 100% relate to Lucy. Do I think there's a lot of hockey romance going on in the "real world"??? Probably not. Does that impact my enjoyment of the books? Nope, not even a little bit.

Lucy Quinn is an EMT, a mega hockey fan, and an influencer who's been running a hockey podcast for years, featuring her favorite hometown team, the Dallas Stampede. For some reason, she takes it as a personal affront when the team decides to start a Hockey Romance book club, featuring one of their best players - Bennett Wilder. The team takes notice and starts inviting her along on a lot of the PR things related to the book club.

They're cute together - Lucy doesn't have any real flaws except she's kind of slow to let people in, and she's not 100% sure what she wants to do with her life. Bennett is nothing but good, all the way through the story. I thought their 3rd act break-up was a little OTT. Lucy might have over-reacted but she KNOWS she did so that buffers it a bit.

Don’t waste your credit

This book had great potential, but the execution was disappointing. The pacing felt rushed, preventing me from connecting with the characters or their relationship. The romance lacked chemistry and buildup—the love scenes had no tension and simply faded to black without any emotional payoff. With better character development and pacing, this could have been a strong story. Unfortunately, I won't be purchasing from this author again.

Ehhh female narrator

I’m so disappointed because I was looking forward to this story and even listened to the preview….but I couldn’t do it and ended up returning the story. The female narrator would be good with duet narration where she only does the female voice but her male voice is so bad.It was so cringy I couldn’t do it.. I tried and tried and and wanted to like it so bad but couldn’t. I love the author and hockey stories what a bummer.

Good bones for sure but this is the fastest read 350 page book of my life. Idk how it’s only a 7 hour audiobook. It needs more substance in my opinion! It’s just so direct and needs a little more fluff to bulk it up.
