That thin line between love and hate

Eva Bradshaw, former Olympic figure skater, now single mom and skating instructor, can't really pick her jobs, especially if they come with a hefty paycheck. Too bad her new one is to sort of  "reteach" an NFL hockey player how to skate again. She's got a "no hockey players" policy for reasons, but she's also got a six- year-old to feed. 
Walker Dunn has been a benchwarmer for months now and it's not even for a hockey injury. He was in a car accident and badly hurt his knee. The accident also messed with his head. You see, hockey is his life. It's not only his passion but it's how he supports his mom and his brothers and he literally can't afford to lose the job he loves. So, he will endure being coached by the princess sent his way.
It's mutual hate at first sight... but we all know the thin line between love and hate and attraction. It just complicates EVERYTHING. 
This was short and fun and steamy. I loved how they hated each other on principle but BOOM they can't keep their hands off each other. 
The hard themes (ailing parent, single parenthood, fear of losing a career) are dealt with respect and depth for such a short audiobook. I also loved Eva's daughter and her love of cool books. The kid is a hoot!
Let's talk about audio because this one is special. Narrated dual style by Samantha Brentmoor and Teddy Hamilton, this is a delight. Teddy is great as the cocky yet vulnerable and soft on the inside arrogant hockey god. Now, Samantha totally shines! Her Eva is sassy, fun and determined but it's when she has to voice Walker that the magic happens and she basically turns into Teddy! It's THAT good - the inflections, the voice mannerisms, everything! All the stars, lady!

While this is a fairly short listen, there sure is a lot of story to it. These characters are both so full of personality and their animosity makes for some fun banter. Walker is definitely on the grumpy side as he is working his way back from injury and I love how strong Evangeline is and how she runs (or skates) circles around Walker. The writing was genius and this somehow had the feel of a fast and slow burn all at the same time. Bonus points for the holiday vibes!!

Teddy Hamilton and Samantha Brentmoor are two of my auto-listen narrators, so when I see them together, it’s a no-brainer must listen audiobook. This audio is the perfect example as to why. Perfect performances by both! They had me tuned in for a non-stop listen and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Absolutely LOVED this hockey romance

Holy snowballs! What an adorable book!! I absolutely enjoyed every minute of this. Give me a man who is HOT & loves kids, yes, please!

Eva, a former Olympic figure skating medalist, is hired to help the hockey god, Walker Dunn. With a leg injury that almost cost him his career, she's brought in to help train him & get him back into fighting shape. The problem...Walker is stubborn & difficult to work with every step of the way. The only thing they agree on is the fact that they wanna score with each other.😏 The chemistry between them is hot & palpable.

Knowing darn good & well this isn't a bad idea, Eva can't help herself & Walker's smooth & charming ways snatch her right up. Her only issue....feelings but Walker is a man who knows exactly what he wants. The man is hot & determined!

Eva, on the other hand, is skittish. After being burned by a man whom she thought loved her & raising her daughter Gracie alone, she's cautious. Navigating this relationship gets tricky. Pushing Walker to work harder & secure his spot on the team only leads to heated banter, which leads to heated situations! 😏 The banter between these two is fantastic. Walker is direct, forward & flirty! Yes, sir!🙌

🎧Let's talk narration: Samantha & Teddy are just FANTASTIC as a duo! It's hard to beat this pairing. They NEVER fail & ALWAYS deliver. Samantha is terrific voicing Ava's doubtful personality. She's so sweet as the single mom but flirty & playful when dealing with Walker. Teddy as a cocky & possessive hockey player? Yes, GIVE IT TO ME! 🙌 He's so flippin swoony as Walker. A little arrogant, a little grabby & a whole lotta sexy! These two are always so much fun to listen to.

Even though this takes place during the holidays, it can TOTALLY be read anytime. That's just honestly a side piece to the story. This is just a fun, spicy listen & I honestly can't wait to listen to the next in this series. Bring on the Buffalo Tempest Hockey team!!!

This had just the right amount of heartwarming moments, great supporting characters, and a hot flaring romance. It may spark quickly but I also believed that they would fall for each other this way. They have a lot in common and it made it very believable.

Narrated by Samantha Brentmoor and Teddy Hamilton, and what else can I say about that? Who better to spend a few hours with?
