If an Eskimo found himself in Florida, would he think he had died and gone to heaven, or would he think he was in hell? Those are some of the thoughts Reggan Sobe has had lately. She has a lot to think about and plenty of time. There is no internet, cable TV, not even landlines. Books are hard to come by. Paper doesn’t do well in this new frozen wasteland. Most of the human race has been wiped out by the wars or the virus.
At the center of this madness were the Kapteyians, an alien race who supposedly came in peace. Sadly, they were just like us. Arrogant, greedy, and willing to kill to get what they want. We had done the same to the Native Americans. How many died for our greed and stupidity?
Now, nature and the aliens had decided it was our turn. Keeping with our nature, the president, Congress, and big business betrayed us so they could survive the new world. A simple plan that went wrong when one 17-year-old girl survived when everyone else died. Like it or not, Reggan may be the world’s last hope.

Alien COVID Conspiracy Theory
Beswick incorporates contemporary pandemic issues with a fictional corrupt country leader to create a conspiracy theory that explains so many deaths in the world. He introduces a source of the virus from another world and the hunt is on for a cure. Narration is excellent with multiple character tones and very good pace.
