EXCELLENT BOOK ON SURVIVING DEPRESSION!

I like Stephanie Anne Allen, the author, have suffered from depression for a long time. Many of Stephanie's suggestions were right on target for surviving depression. The book was an encouragement to me at this point in my life. I have found myself again being depressed and this book is an great resource to those trying to survive depression. I look forward to reading Stephanie's book, My Mental Madness Memoir. I expect it to be help.

Finally honest advice about dealing with depression

I have dealt with depression for years and have read many books on it. The thing that is different between Stephanie and Allen’s book and all the others is that she makes it clear from the beginning that this is based on her experience it’s not just a footnote at the end or hidden in the apologue. She says it more than once and is honest about how situations my battery. I wish she would have expounded more on her personal story, but as I said the book is based on her experience is only to let you know the potential of yours. I love this book I can’t imagine how it was being depressed as a teenager as I didn’t become depressed till after I went blind… Ironic right! Anyway this is a great book in anyone suffering from clinical depression or even situational depression I think this would be good for you to read. At least Lord the serenity prayer for that got me through many situations. I thought the narrator did a great job and I love her calm soothing voice and I also want to think the author Stephanie and Alan for not only sharing your stories but reaching back to help people like me who is still there. Thanks!

Very informative!

I loved this book! I have learned quite a bit over the years studying psychology and dealing with my own depression. Everything Stephanie put into this book is true and it was too short! But it's right to the point!
