This book is my Bible

This is one of the best self help books I have listen. Perhaps because I was ready to hear what it had to say, or perhaps because it was just that good. The book clearly pointed out the underhanded ways I was trying to control and influence the relationship, all unbeknownst to me. The secret deals you make, were alive in my behavior and severely damaging the relationship. It is, in fact, about being nice...but being nice to yourself so that you can unburden yourself from the shackles of your past and start working towards the life you have always wanted rather than towards the life you were programmed by your past to want. It explains why Nice Guys really aren't all that nice and clearly demonstrates how changes in behavior can dramatically transform your relations in a very positive way. While I've only finished this book about, I'm already noticing the positive aspects in my life and improvement in my relationships. This is not only true of my personal relationships, but also true of my relationship with myself.

He's Right - If You're a Nice Guy, Please Listen

So far, he has opened my eyes to the Why and not only the How. And the Why is very important but I never took note of it. But I love that I'm doing that now

Highly recommended for all nice guys out there

So far I agree with everything this course is saying and I need to take some notes from it. Which is something I need to do so I keep finding myself stopping the audio. I think the tips and advice for finding yourself in this course seems like good ideas to get us there, hopefully there are some print out or something along the way I just haven't come across yet...

A must listen for every man of any age!

Unless you're a super-confident alpha male, you need to listen this book. I knew about many of this same kind of book years ago, but I didn't bother listening any because I didn't really consider myself a "nice guy". I understood the reasons why women weren't attracted to "nice guys" as well. I don't go out of my way to help everybody, make people happy, or constantly seek approval in others. However, when I finally read this book, I still got a LOT out of it. This book helped me make so many good observations about the many different ways I've simply been too passive. It helped me realize WHY I am this way as well. I now have lots of notes on what I can do differently to solve this issue. I've listened many self help books, and this was the first that brought this issue of mine to light.

Don't let the title fool you

I'm on my third listening of this book. It is the go-to in this genre and has been incredibly beneficial both in my life and the people closest to me. The changes I made because of this book have led to closer friendships, particularly with men, a new view of my Dad, honest, direct conversations with housemates, and a more intimate relationship with my partner. I can't say enough good about it.

Made me realize

I can't say enough about this book without sounding to preachy. So I will keep it simple. If you are anything close to being considered a nice guy this book is for you. Of course you have to be open to criticism and change for this book to make a huge difference in your life. Please don't make the mistake of picking it up once listening it and putting it down. With repetition comes habit and you definitely want to make the lessons in this book habit. You may find love ones and friends taken aback by the change in you, I found that was because I never stood up for myself so firmly and assuredly. The amount of respect I've gained in my life was astounding to me once I realized I did not alway have to do do do to gain respect, there is also respect to be gained in saying no. Sound interesting then pick up a copy.

Life Altering!

This audiobook is awesome! It accurately explains what makes men such as myself choose the dreadful path of being a Nice Guy. A lot of men referenced in this book are 30 or above, so a great portion of their lives has been destroyed by the Nice Guy Syndrome. If you are in high school or in your 20s, I implore you to get this book and have someone hold you accountable to it. If not, you won't really change. It will change your life!

Break out of your nice guy pattern

I can't rate this book high enough, The book has changed my life and is really the only self-help book that I would recommend to anyone. I really almost went through with sending copies to all the nice guys I know because this book was able to make me happy. Every time I listen this book it brought my true self out and I felt free, This book has been the only key to my sole listen it!!!!! It taught me to focus and value myself, my true self, the self that I have been hiding from the rest of the world, negative effects of being too nice, Identifying if you are being too nice for your health, give trust on my inner voice, learn to cope with disapproval and also helps me to re-learn to say my opinion. This will take time, you have to work with this book for months to have any serious change. I'm about to listen it again

speaks my mind!

Wow, I really liked this course! It's one to listen to over and over again because the instructor, Mike Mitchell, explains how to look inside yourself, as well trust your inner voice, love yourself more, value your well-being over others and thereby love others more. Great job being honest, caring and giving deep insights to you that can take years of trial and error to learn by yourself. Personal applications to do on your own but not overwhelmingly hard at all. Wishing that maybe there were a few more step by step examples of putting these principles into practice and their outcomes if one does them or maybe even doesn't do them. I happily give this class a 5 star rating and 100% go for it encouragement to take this class.

I Just Had A Bad Breakup

I have dealt with a deal of mental health problems. My main one is negative effects of being too nice. I don't have many friends because engaging with others terrifies me. I shut myself in and can't get out. I want to engage with others but my anxiety stops myself. These audiobook have saved me. There are so many wonderful tools that allow me to Step out on how to stop being too nice to others. What is great is that I teach myself how to use those tools. Throughout my day I constantly think about ways I can apply these tools. I have a lunch date with someone I met at work a couple of days ago and I am so excited. This works.

Yet another crucial guidebook for the frustrated

This audiobook is a must listen for every man. I truly believe that everyone would benefit from listening this. It chronicled a journey that I went on alone without any of his help or teachings and I can only think what a great benefit it would have been to have this so many years ago!! It is clear and concise and lays out specific action plans to make discernible progress. This needs to be promoted heavily because these issues are rampant in today's society and men need this book!!!
