How Does Your Garden Grow? Is a wonderful book for your child or young adult. It takes analogies from gardening and Bible verses to explain how to use the scriptures to grow closer to God. This audiobook is easy to listen to and simple to understand. It is good for adults too like the bible states: Whosoever, therefore, shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:4. I found it very enjoyable and love that it is short and to the point and not too preachy.

A New (Yet Ancient) Way To Experience Love & God

The garden metaphors with the word of God was such a beautiful way to plant old concepts in a new way for me 🤩

As a gardener myself, I understand what it's like to love and nurture a garden. To look at each plant, the roots, the soil, and see if there are insects, does it have enough water? Sun?

For example, in the soil chapter she asks if the soil acidic or healthy? Have you tested the soil? And then Lorie asks you to check your heart the same way. Is your heart healthy? Have you tested your heart? Is there a root of bitterness in your heart? Is there anyone you need to forgive? Have you prepared the heart and considered what you are planting and where you are planting it (with people)?

It was a new, extravagant, and beautiful way to experience self growth and my relationship with God.

This short audiobook does an incredible job of using a metaphor we all understand: gardening, and applying it in a fresh way toward one's own spiritual life. The narration is soothing and pleasant and makes for a wonderful read.
