Publisher's summary

To say Sheriff Natalie Strand is shocked that Sarah Eastman, the girl who kissed her at a high school party, is back in town would be a huge understatement. Between Sarah’s return and a stray dog that gets the best of her, Natalie’s world is suddenly turned upside down.

They say you can’t go home again, but that’s exactly what Sarah does when she returns to Spruce Mountain, Oregon, to live with her aunt and uncle after her divorce. All she wants is peace and to ensure her daughter, Harley, has stability. Seeing Natalie again after 17 years ignites a passion that she hasn’t felt in a long time. Never mind that her heart tumbles in her chest or that she forgets words when Natalie’s around, she needs to focus on her family and getting her life back together.

Natalie and Sarah are about to discover that anything is possible when love takes the long way home.

Adorable Holiday Read!

This is a cuddle up with a warm blanket and a hot cup of tea kind of read. Low angst, hot romance, Perfect way to fall into fall. Sheriff Natalie is in charge of a small town and her high school crush returns to regroup 17 years later and with a child. There's an elusive dog. The whole story is just a sweet love story where you are rooting for them from page 1.

I loved the story of Henry at the end! And I really enjoyed the story. Brittni Pope is good narrator for Kris Bryant’s books. I really enjoy the authors story! Perfect hrs. Not too long, not too short!

The perfect cozy & steamy romance

This story was so heartwarming and sweet. It also had amazing chemistry and beautifully written adult themed scenes (b/c Kris Bryant never disappoints in that department). Narration by Brittni Pope was soooooo good as per usual.

A second chance for a dog and his person

I enjoyed this audiobook and Brittni did a wonderful job narrating it. She has a very nice voice and it really adds to the emotions of the story. Natalie is still carrying feedings for Sarah and their perfect kiss. Sarah regrets how things ended with Natalie in high school. She wasn’t ready to accept her feelings for her. Returning home may be the best thing for both of them. I love Henry the dog and Sarah’s daughter Haley. A sweet story with quite a bit of heat.

Not all lesbian love stories are tragic

Lesbians need to know that lesbian life is everywhere, even in small towns and not all small towns are intolerant. Many of us remember a high school love which warmed our heart like no other love since. This is a good “girl meets high school crush of the past and that high school dream becomes a reality.”

Great story about love, family, and friendship

Kris Bryant delivered a beautiful story about love and family. Surrounding the book with holidays and mixing in love, loss and new beginnings made the story even more enjoyable. Being a dog lover, I especially loved Henry's story and was pleasantly surprised to find it snuggled in at the end. As painful as it was to hear how he was treated, it was so beautiful that he got the happy ending most dogs in is position never get. To me, this was the best part of the book. So, kudos to Kris Bryant for giving us an enjoyable book and lovely. heartwarming story!

I loved the books

Kris Bryant’s books are great and this one as well. I probably wouldn’t have Brittni Pope narrate it, but that because I don’t like her style, it sounds as if she is bored...

A true love story

I enjoyed listening to this heartwarming story from start to finish and wish it had been a little longer but was still very beautiful.
I think Brittni did an excellent job on the voices.

I imagine this book as a story that began 17 years prior when two people fell in love with a single kiss without the other knowing and culminates 17 years after that first kiss when they find themselves back in the town where it started.

The last chapter with the dog was a wonderful addition :)

Perfection.

While romance books tend to be predictable, sometimes you make allowances when the people involved are well defined, and the message is both important and heart felt.
The story is lovely, the characters believable and the passions involved were from the heart and not from lower organs..and yet remain hot.
I cried at the end of the story, sad that it was over, but filled with warmth.
Given some time, I will reread this book, perhaps when the holidays approach.
Everyone should experience in their life, the love and passion felt by the protagonists.
Enjoy “Home”
