River is the best Book Boyfriend.

I loved River's character from the very beginning. He waited until she was ready & swept in like Prince Charming. The male narrator was perfect. It was my first time listening to him & not my last. I love how this entire hockey family is woven into the
story from the first book.

5 stars - incredible!!!

Such a warm, swoony, single mom hockey romance. I melted for River instantly. He’s steady, patient, quietly protective and absolute top tier book boyfriend material.
The duet narration is phenomenal. Grayson Owens brings this secure, commanding warmth to River that feels like a hand at the small of your back. Vivienne LaRue is so tender, heartfelt and so emotionally open. Together they’re magic. I listened in under 24 hours. Totally obsessed.

Characters were great!

I loved River! He was sweet, attentive, and oh so swoony! He was dang near perfect. Callie was good, she was frustrating a bit at times, but it made sense and added to the plot. I thought the narration was incredible!! Grayson did a fantastic job along with Vivienne who brought the characters to life.

I thought I fell in love with Steele Sanderson, and then River Thompson said “hold my beer” (but I still love him too I promise). As a single mom myself, River is exactly the kind of man I want as a partner - steady, reliable, patient, I could go on and on. The way he loves Callie (and Nora too) is so authentic, and seeing just how long he’d been pining for her had my heart about to burst in my chest. 🥹 Callie was everything I love in a single mom - protective and willing to do absolutely anything it takes to provide the very best for her daughter. Vivienne and Grayson’s performances were outstanding and really brought the emotion to a new level! As well as the spice 🥵 we love a man who buys toys for the kiddo… and her mom. 🤭 This was such a great read/listen, I was swooning the whole time!!

Hold me tight

The narrators did a great job. I had a few minor issues with the characters that I just couldn’t get over and that dulled the shine for me but overall it was a good story. I loved the previous book and I’ll read the rest of the series too! I love the series background subplot with Hugh and Evelyn. I can’t wait to see how the mystery unfolds.
