When obsession and possessiveness collide…
Thomas Lauder
Easton is my hero, and I’m obsessed. He comes into my life like a knight in shining armor, saving me from a horrible customer at the coffee shop. Then, out of the blue, he asks me out on a date. How could I say no to the mysterious, handsome man? My life revolves around surviving my lying, gambling-addicted father and taking care of my younger sister while trying to earn my degree. Easton gives me the stability and honesty I didn’t know I needed. He’s straightforward and knows exactly what he wants. I do, too. I want Easton in my life forever.
Easton Virgil
I have a new family, but my life is still incomplete. Now that I’m nineteen, I have strong needs, and the loneliness is consuming. Thomas isn’t typical, but he’s attractive, and I enjoy his worship of me. He’s obsessed, and I feed off it. It makes me hungry for him. He’s perfect for me, and I’ll do whatever it takes to keep him. He belongs to me and no one else. But when his useless father is the reason Thomas is ripped from me, I nearly burn the world to the ground to find him. No one better have harmed him, or they will pay.
Listening in order will add more pleasure to the listening experience and understanding the characters better, but they can technically be listened to as standalones.

I have loved every character from this series but Easton is my absolute favorite. I just love his no filter honesty.
He might be blunt and lack finesse but he’s as real as can be and that’s exactly why Thomas fell for him.
Easton has his own love language even if it’s not what society deems it’s the “right” way of loving. Words aren’t needed when actions speak for themselves.
“𝐻𝑒 𝓁𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓈 𝓂𝑒 𝒾𝓃 𝒽𝒾𝓈 𝑜𝓌𝓃 𝓈𝓅𝑒𝒸𝒾𝒶𝓁 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝓊𝓃𝒾𝓆𝓊𝑒 𝓌𝒶𝓎. 𝐼 𝓀𝓃𝑜𝓌 𝒽𝑒’𝒹 𝒹𝑜 𝒶𝓃𝓎𝓉𝒽𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝓉𝑜 𝓅𝓇𝑜𝓉𝑒𝒸𝓉 𝓂𝑒. 𝒜𝓃𝒹 𝐼 𝓌𝒾𝓁𝓁 𝒶𝓁𝓌𝒶𝓎𝓈 𝓁𝑜𝓋𝑒 𝒽𝒾𝓂 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝒸𝒶𝓇𝑒 𝒶𝒷𝑜𝓊𝓉 𝒽𝒾𝓂. 𝐼 𝓌𝒾𝓁𝓁 𝓅𝓇𝑜𝓉𝑒𝒸𝓉 𝒽𝒾𝓂, 𝓉𝑜𝑜. 𝐻𝑒’𝓈 𝓂𝒾𝓃𝑒, 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝐼’𝓂 𝒽𝒾𝓈.”
Thomas would never hear the actual I love you words, but he felt them with every one of Easton’s actions and that’s more than enough for him. He knew that Easton loved him in all the ways that really mattered.
Once again Harley knocks it out of the park with this narration. His performance is absolutely phenomenal. He really captured the character’s depth and personality. I’m so sad the series is over 😭
Even better the second time around

The perfect ending for this series. I absolutely love seeing Easton and him finding his person. Thomas is the perfect match for Easton. I really enjoyed seeing they navigate their relationship and finding ways that worked for them. Easton was shaped by his past and isn't able to love like others but Thomas just accepts him. I love the family rallying around them both and being supportive. This story is action-packed and filled so many emotions. I absolutely loved their journey.
I'm so happy to have Easton story but sad to see this series end. But Courtney gave us a great ending and also a little bit of Kai and Maverick which I was so happy to see.
Perfection 😍

Wow, what a wild ride!
Easton and Thomas are a stoic/sunshine match from heaven. Their contrast meshes so well, and they make the perfect couple. I love their dynamic, and the spicy bathroom scenes are a huge bonus. Annie and Ethan make this book even better with their joyous innocence.
Thomas’s dad really needed to get his sh!t together. Thomas had been working, attending classes, and taking care of Annie and the house, while their dad gambled all the money away and pawned items away to get more money to lose. Easton (Superman) saved Thomas by providing food, clothing, and money for bills, loving Thomas the way he does best. When Thomas and Annie face a rough situation, Easton and the gang swoop in to save the day.
Addiction is a disease, and it’s a struggle many families live with. Children and other family members who carry the brunt of raising siblings, paying household bills, among other responsibilities, deserve mad respect. In the US, the national hotline for people gambling addiction or their family members is 1-800-522-4700.
This book was a wild ride from start to finish. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Check out all of Courtney W Dixon’s books and audiobooks!
