Publisher's Summary

From New York Times best-selling author Kate White comes a gripping novel about one woman's dangerous quest to recover lost memories someone would rather she never find. The key to her missing memories could bring relief - or unlock her worst nightmares.

On a cold, rainy morning, finance journalist Ally Linden arrives soaked to the bone at her Manhattan office, only to find that she's forgotten her keycard. When her boss shows, he's shocked to see her - because, he explains, she hasn't worked there in five years.

Ally knows her name, but is having trouble coming up with much beyond that, though after a trip to the psychiatric ER, she begins to piece together important facts: She lives on the Upper West Side; she's now a freelance journalist; she's married to a terrific man named Hugh. More memories materialize and yet she still can't recall anything about the previous two days. Diagnosed as having experienced a dissociative state, she starts to wonder if it may have been triggered by something she saw. Could she have witnessed an accident - or worse - had something happened to her?

Desperate for answers, Ally tries to track where she spent the missing days, but every detail she unearths points to an explanation that's increasingly ominous, and it's clear someone wants to prevent her from learning where those 48 hours went. In order to uncover the truth, Ally must dig deep into the secrets of her past - and outsmart the person who seems determined to silence her.

Desperate to unearth answers, Ally focuses on figuring out where she spent the missing 48 hours. As ominous details of the two days pile up, so does the terrifying pressure: She must recover the time she lost before the time she has left runs out.

Featuring Kate White's signature twists and turns, Have You Seen Me? is a harrowing tale that will keep listeners guessing until its shocking ending.

An overdone topic

I've read a handful of books about memory loss and they always end the same way - the protagonist all of a sudden regains her memory. the story climaxes, and all live happily ever after. I was definitely disappointed with this book. I've read all of Kate White's books and most are very engaging and fun - I'd recommend any of them for a good suspense read. Except this one.

Beyond words…

I saw a little Instagram video post/reinactment of one line in the book. So I figured I’d give it a shot. I didn’t read any reviews I didn’t look into the author NOTHING. I didn’t realize the book was a bit outside of what I “normally” read a little more suspense and thrill than I typically go for but MY GOODNESS! I couldn’t stop. I haven’t listened in awhile to a book simply because of life. But through some health issues I decided maybe a good book would help my spirits and this book did just that! The way Kate White articulated every movement, sentence and scene of the book was simply incredible- I felt like I was literally roaming around New York. And while Cynthia Farrell’s voice wasn’t my very favorite in the beginning her voice quickly becomes so soothing and just captured what the words were trying to portray! The 2 combined captivated me- and there were parts where I actually couldn’t stop! Absolutely incredible!! 10/10 recommend!

A murder mystery

Could have been so much better if you had given the reader the opportunity to figure this out. Every chapter you keep reviewing where we were in the story. killjoy!!

Narration Failure

The story line was good, for the most part. However, the narration made it barely ok throughout. This book maybe a better option outside of Audible.

Disappointed in the ending

I really enjoyed this but was a bit disappointed in the ending. For me, it never really wrapped anything up. It could have done with another chapter or two. This was my first listen by this author. Look forward to more from her.

Excellent story!

Kate White was a new author to me, but I'll definitely get more of her books. Her characters were believable and the writing was first rate. The plot was engaging and not predictable at all, which I appreciated. I had a hard time putting this down, and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys thrillers.

Decent Story…Narration is Cringey

The story is okay but it is really hard to get past the breathy monotone performance. When I realized I had 7 hours left I just decided to buy the book and read it myself.

Story is pretty good

The story is OK, I would even go as far as to say pretty decent, it kept me wanting to find out what was happening to this woman throughout the whole book. Getting to the end was a struggle because of the narrator. EVERYTHING she reads is "breathy", loud exhales and/or inhales after nearly every sentence, sometimes even in the middle of sentences - it really takes away from the story. Multiple characters were portrayed with voices I would've associated with the opposite gender and then were switched halfway through the story (I assume to make them a little better discernable/believable). The reason for the woman's psychosis seemed a little too simple/minor, making the story a bit hard to believe. Still worth a read - I can't recommend a listen though with this narrator.
