Publisher's summary

Life wasn't easy on Andela. If you happen to be a fire dragon, like Zeira, status in the eyes of your peers is everything. However, when you possess a unique delivery system for your pyrotechnical abilities, public gatherings become situations to avoid.

When an unknown force begins to threaten the peace they have with their neighbors, Zeira decides to answer her king's call for help. After all, if she could just find herself a kai, then perhaps, with the help of her rider, she could overcome her...disability and earn the status she so desperately craved. The only problem was, where was she supposed to find one of the elusive tribesmen?

Setting out on a mission to find herself a rider, Zeira defies advice and logic and heads north, out of her home region. With the danger of Fading weighing heavily on her mind, Zeira encounters other dragons with similar plights, only nothing could prepare her for what was waiting for them out there.

From the Amazon best-selling author of Bakkian Chronicles, Tales of Lentari, and the mystery series Corgi Case Files comes a brand-new adventure, featuring a new twist on fantasy stories! Follow along with a group of dragons as they try to save their world from a maniacal biped!

The Dragons voices jumps out of the pages!

I just love the twists and turns, then the ups and downs of emotions in the story. Jeffery Poole has written some incredible stories in past books, I think this series will top those. Jeffery has such a mind-blowing imagination. This book is a perfect example of that imagination. The voice of Each character is so unique and full of personality. Add Nathan Lujan's voice to it and that personality jumps out of the pages! There were times in the story I had to remind myself there was only one person reading and it was a man! I just loved all the Dragon's voices. Each one sounded like I imagined they would. When I listened to them having a conversation Nathan never slipped up with the voices of the characters. Nathan smoothly transitions from one voice to the next. Not one voice sounded the same. One of the younger dragons sounded like a young dragon oh and a female. Yet another older and bigger male dragon had that throaty deeper voice like you can imagine he would have. Listening to the story made me laugh even harder than when I read it the first time. I had to make sure not to drink or eat when listening to or reading Jeffery's books otherwise I end up choking from laughing so hard! This is one Great start to Jeffery Poole's next series and I can't wait to read or listen to how the next part plays out.

audible book

the world is in trouble. a call has been sent out to all who are able to try to figure what is causing it. I had read the book before the audio version. the narrator does an awesome job with all the different characters. gave me a different idea on each charter by the voice he gave them. was definitely a lot different and better than I was thinking
