Loved it

Enemies to lovers, family healing and a road trip I didn’t expect. I loved Hard Feelings. Though I do need to warn their is a character reaching the end of their life so be aware of that before stepping in. As for the book is was slow burn banter deliciousness. The narrators did a fantastic job. The story itself had me entrances. Highly recommend.

A+ listen immediately

this was a very good story. you have childhood trauma, exceptional grandparent relationship and independence. I like also the tie ins from other books from this author. I like that its a whole interconnected world. all of these books are so good. if you've listened to Hugo, you will recognize Duke. if you recognize paisley and Klein you read the book before this one, here for the cake. this is one of my new favorite authors. she has become an instant buy for me. she picks really good narrators too. the male narrator in this one was a little robotic at times though but it wasn't anything so bad you couldn't keep listening. it was a cute story overall. I like that there was no 3rd act breakup. Just the opposite actually. this is a must listen.

PERFECTION!! You will FALL in LOVE with this story

Jennifer Millikin did it again! This was another amazing book and I didn’t want it to end!!! I fell in love with Cecily and Dominic so easily. You will also love Cecily's Savage Grandma! This book will take you on a road trip of emotions but it's worth every mile of them.

The narrators Wesley Mercer & Marissa Clay were absolutely phenomenal! I felt like these two made you feel a connection with these characters. They held my attention and kept me entertained the entire time I was listening. I couldn't have asked for better narrators.

Cecily and Dominic first date was going great until Cecily over hears a conversation and she ends up ghosting him. Now their summoned to Las Vegas to celebrate mutual friends. When these two see each other again their both shooting daggers at each other. Of course this causes some great banter but that turns into shooting tequila. Next things you know their waking up MARRIED!

Of course these two want nothing to do with being married so they want to get this annulled ASAP. But a phone call from Cecily's Grandma announcing she's dying puts a wrench in their plans. Now they have to pretend to be happily married and endure a road trip with her family around Arizona since it's her Grandma's last wish.

OMG I loved all the banter in this story! I was laughing so hard and was so giddy because even though they were bantering you felt their chemistry! Her family is not pleasant but her Grandmas is definitely savage! This book will have you laughing, smiling like crazy, getting emotional and then it will leave you with such a beautiful ending! I just loved everything about this story, I always love when families have to dig into their past and find themselves again. This book will give you that as well. I HIGHLY recommend this audiobook!

When an Accidental Wedding Turns Into Everything

This was a fun, laugh-out-loud, trope-filled ride. An accidental wedding mixed with forced proximity and chaotic family road trip. Along the way a snarky, savage grandma steals the show, the characters face real emotional and personal growth, and through all the chaos and barbed banter, a genuinely sweet love story unfolds. It’s witty, heartfelt, and full of moments that made me grin, swoon, and occasionally laugh out loud.

Marissa Clay and Wesley Mercer were absolutely splendid as duet narrators! Each brought multiple characters to life across a range of ages, making everyone instantly recognizable, while keeping the flirty banter and sarcasm between Cecily and Dominic effortlessly charming. Their performance added so much extra fun and energy to this already chaotic, swoony story.

Phenomenal book all around

Phenomenal!!! I’ve been counting down the days until Hard Feelings released since Here for the Cake was one of my favourite books of the year. I think Jennifer Millikin did such an incredible job with this book. It was witty, laugh out loud funny, but also covered some heavy topics. The family chaos with underlying grief and years of butting heads was so interesting to read. Cecily and Dom were absolutely adorable and I’m so glad we got past the misunderstanding part of the story pretty quickly. All the My Wife moments deserve an award!

I LOVED the audio for Here For the Cake, so after finishing the ebook I speed read it on audio and gosh these narrators were perfect for this book!!! I hadn’t read any books narrated by Wesley Mercer or Marissa Clay before but they are absolute favourites now. I think their pacing was great, and I think the voices and intonations to differentiate characters were amazing as well.
