The Shape Never Dies

This is one the best in the franchise and the genre, and the thrilling horrific tale is captured well in this book. Superb narration brings it home. Play the soundtrack in the background while you listen, and when you’re done you’re ready to watch the killer movie again! Love it!!!!

LAZY

Such LAZY writing... They changed so many scenes from the movie and some of the best scenes cut out completely! I was excited for the firefighter scene and instead I got "five minutes later the shape was the only one breathing.." REALLY??

Halloween Kills!

I enjoy reading movie novelizations to use my imagination to decipher any differences between the book and movie. This book did a great job of setting the mood and being “The Empire Strikes Back” in tone of the Halloween sequel trilogy. Bronson Pinchot did a fantastic job narrating and you shake your head thinking that voice was once Balki Bartokomous!

glorious read. the whole book was a fantastic

the explanation and exploration of the character was great. the only detractor I had had was David Gordon Green said Michael, the Shape was not supernatural. with the film and the novel...The Shape had to be supernatural.

Mostly Great

It feels like the author doesn't really understand Michael. He made a few changes that take away from the story. also, the lilting voice used for Michael's thoughts was wrong. Otherwise, this is a great adaptation of the movie.

Halloween Kills and so does Michael

I love the films, the books add a new dimension to them and I think that only adds to my love of the movie and the franchise itself.

Brilliant…Listen To 2018’s Halloween First !

I quite enjoyed listening to this audiobook and it carrying on from 2018’s Halloween. There is more deaths in this one than the 2018 one which is great in my opinion.

The story differs a little from the movie of the same name at parts due to this being written from a screenplay I’m sure I read.

The narration done for this was perfect no silly woman voices etc just perfect.

Highly recommend if you enjoy the Halloween movies or that kind of genre even true crime fans like myself would enjoy it just listen to the 2018 Halloween first as this starts off right at the end of the first.

excellent

narrator did a fantastic job at creating the atmosphere and suspense. I haven't seen the film so I can't compare but it was a great listen and suitably scary.

The Shape

Unstoppable Michael Myers, referred to here as The Shape, goes on another spree in His home town. This is better that the novel of the previous movie and nicely sets up the next.

It was ok

Performance kept going really quiet which I think was to build suspense but then I couldn't hear it. The story kind of went on and on to a point where it got dull. OK as far as this type of story goes.

At least it was free

You get what you pay for…or don’t in this case.
Predictable nonsense that was neither enlightening nor scary. Narrator sounded like he was reading to children. Ho hum…next!
