MM perfection!

Sarina Bowen and Lauren Blakely are two of my absolute favourites. When they announced this book it quickly became my most anticipated release of 2022. Bowen and Blakely have a unique quality to their writing. These authors truly know how to grab their readers from the opening scene. They nail the fun, flirty banter and sexual tension in this opposites attract, MM story with perfection!

Mark is an investment banker, single dad and divorcee. Due to his own experiences his view on love and romance is slightly skewed at the moment. When his sister announces her upcoming marriage to Flip, a wealthy guy she met only a few months previous he is immediately skeptical of their relationship working out. However, her happiness is most important to him and he sets his feelings aside and steps up as Best Man for his sister. The other Best Man is Asher, (Flip’s best friend) and the two are tasked with a trip to Miami to scope out the wedding venue. Mark and Asher have done nothing but get under each other’s skin from first meeting and the sexual tension is coming off them in waves! What could possibly go wrong with a few nights away together?

Asher is an event planner/ photographer and ex soccer star. He is rich, popular and the complete opposite of Mark. Asher’s carefree lifestyle just doesn’t jive for Mark but it is becoming too hard to ignore the sizzling hot chemistry between them. Once Mark and Asher give into their mutual attraction things really heat up! Mark takes spreadsheets to a whole new level and I’ll never look at them quite the same again.

This story is everything I love about romance. It is funny and sexy but at the same time it had its emotional, tender moments as well. I love the growth in Asher and Mark’s relationship as well as individually. What was supposed to be a vacation fling turns into so much more. Even with a few complications and obstacles to navigate together I love how it all turns out and this ended in the most heartwarming and satisfying HEA.

When it comes to MM audiobooks Jacob Morgan and Teddy Hamilton are my favourite duo! There is simply no one better than Jeddy! Their voices are playful, flirty, sexy and emotional and when it comes to the bedroom scenes, oh do they heat it up! This was a fantastic listen and I highly recommend the audiobook!

I loved Asher and Mark. The banter between the two sexy men was sexy and funny. Loved the serious parts too! Great job, LB and Sarina! As for Teddy and Jacobs narration? OFF THE CHARTS AMAZING! You two never disappoint.

LOVE LOVE LOVED IT!!!

Imagine this review was cut and pasted from a spreadsheet…..Sarina and Lauren (1) know how to write hot, nerdy, vulnerable and believable MM characters that kept my interest until the very last page; (2) wrote extremely funny banter and introduced words that I will definitely appropriate in conversations with friends; (3) wrote charming secondary characters that helped advance the plot beautifully; (4) developed characters so fully that I know I am going to miss them now that I have finished the book. Now add Teddy Hamilton and Jacob Morgan as the narrators/performers of the book and you have absolute perfection! I can’t imagine anyone else performing Mark and Asher. Brava! Sarina and Lauren. Bravo! Teddy and Jacob.

I couldn’t help but devour this story!! If I wasn’t reading it, I was listening to the audiobook. And hello, nothing is sexier than listening to Teddy Hamilton and Jacob Morgan. The Best Men is a M/M standalone enemies to lovers romance that will make even the reader who doesn’t usually read M/M romances fall for these two. Watching them go from ragging each other with their flirty banter to falling hard. Mark is an amazing dad who could take the title of “super dad.” He’s smart and cautious. Then we have Asher who is an ex-football(soccer) star who is now a photographer. He lives life out loud with no commitments. Mark and Asher are forced together when Asher’s best friend marries Mark’s sister and they become the best men. Together they have to help make this wedding magical. The chemistry is off the charts and the magic is in the air. Will these two opposites attract or will they explode? You have to read this book to find out!

I mean...first off let me just say that Jacob Morgan and Teddy Hamilton are AMAZINGGGGGGGGGG!
Second, a single dad M/M book...yes please! This was my first listen of 2022 and it did NOT disappoint. It was sexy, funny, hot as hell, and it was a perfect symphony for my ears. As far as I am concerned Sarina and Lauren can keep on writing together.
Mark is my heart and soul...he is very cautious and likes to play it safe. Asher is balls to the wall or bust. These two could not be anymore opposite. As the saying goes...opposites attract.
Who would have thought it started with a drunk text...
When these two best men agree to a no-strings fling they really get more then they bargained for, and listening to them get there is pure joy!
From now on every M/M book that Jacob and Teddy narrate is a MUST listen for me, they both have this special ability to make you swoon with just the sound of their voices.

Thoroughly enjoyed this couple

Omgosh I loved this! Asher & Mark where so fun and flirty, I loved how the jumped right into the wedding planning, the love they had for their family and friends. The drunk texts where a great touch.

surprisingly good

sweet, fun and low angst. I really enjoyed this opposites-attract/forced proximity romance. There were quite a few laugh out loud moments for me. I found both Asher and Mark to be super charming.
I did feel like some stuff with the ex-wife was left unsettled and the timeline got a little muddled at the end. But overall a very fun read.

Both narrators did an excellent job with the audiobook. Loved them.
