Riveting, well read, and intense. Great twists and something I’ve not heard of previously. We’ll done!

Intense, keeps you guessing, enough to overlook some hackneyed turns of phrase

This is a twisty mystery and will keep you wondering until the very end. The rest suffers from overdone descriptors like the MC “biting her lip” a lot and being “desperate” to do something in a tense moment. Most of these overuses happen in the final third of the book — suggesting there was a rush to get it done under deadline. If you overlook this, it’s an otherwise absorbing story that will keep you company while you craft, clean house or do dishes.

Crazy

If you like it twisty this is for you! Lots of surprises and when you think it has ended there’s more. The only issue I have is the unrealistic amount of trauma to one family. It’s like can they get a break? The cliche one sister is a cop, the other runs a strip club, and the last one is crazy on meds is all too much. The other issue was none of the characters or backgrounds are developed so the history is added in as they go. Lastly, why is a cop always portrayed as dumb. Anyhow very entertaining minus all of the lack of details.

Great story, great narration

Loved this first book in the Dove Milson series. And, of course, Zara Ramm never fails to provide a captivating performance.

WOW, really surprising ending. I really enjoyed, looking forward to read more of Dove!, we'll done and the performance was great, it really kept me enganged.
