Good story

I guess it’s a good plot, but that voice made me want to stop listening. It’s almost sounded so “Valley girl.” It’s as if every sentence was a question. I forced myself to finish listening to this only because I thought it would be a good plot twist, but the narration was….

The story is interesting but the narrator…

The narrator has the whiniest voice I’ve ever heard! I like the author but I see she uses the same narrator a lot.

My Thoughts on A Little Getaway

As of now, this story will take the number one spot as my favorite Bonnie Traymore book. As a huge romance fan, I loved that there was not one, but many romance stories tied in here. I won’t give them all away because I feel like that is part of the enjoyment of the story. That listening and finding out who all is in love. I won’t say that I’m as big of a fan of each couple in the story, but they all have different levels of entertainment throughout, that’s for sure. Normally, I have found this author to be a highly entertaining and enjoyable pallet cleanser in between my romance novels, but this was certainly fun to have a psychological thriller and romance, all wrapped in one from her. I hope she will continue to write more of these because I would love to continue to listen to them. The narration never disappointed as it was by one of my favorites. She did a really good job with different points of view and the multiple character tones.

Suspenseful

Bonnie Traymore is a new author to me and I am surprised I have not come across this author’s books before. Thus may ga e been my first listen but it won’t be my last.

When Morgan and Kyle go on a getaway, Kyle disappears and Morgan is attacked. Why have they been targeted?

Morgan is determined to investigate and along with her friend Carla they go looking for answers.

What follows is an entertaining, fast paced suspense story that kept me invested. There were a number of twist and turns that kept me guessing.

The narration by Meghan Kelly was spot on in my opinion. You could feel the angst, fear, emotion and intense drama in her performance. She was easy to listen to and brought the story and characters to life.
