An Absolute Comedic Masterpiece From Horror’s Foremost Premier Scribe.

If you’re at all familiar with “Garth Marenghi’s ‘Darkplace’ “, you’ll know full well what you’re getting yourself into. If not, do yourself a favor and sit down for six episodes on Amazon Prime. You’ll be glad you did. Though it is not necessary to fully enjoy this masterpiece. I laughed raucously so often at this Audiobook, that I was prohibited from further listening while working. Matthew Holn-I mean, Garth Marenghi is an absolute genius of our time.

I'd listen to 12 more of these. Absolutely stunning and so so funny, I mean scary. Glad to hear one of the greatest horror talents of our time in audiobook form!

Narcissistic mediocrity in all its glory! If you enjoyed the show, you will enjoy this book. Since it’s Garth Marenghi the story is ridiculous, but hilarious. So much casual sociopathic narcissism peppered in! And Matthew Holness’ performance is stellar.

This is everything you'd want a Garth Marenghi novel to be! It's wonderfully awful! It's awfully wonderful!

Excellent addition to the Marenghi univers

If you loved the show Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, you will love this too. It is narrated by the actor that stared in the TV show. I wan't sure how good it could be since a lot of the show gags are visual in nature, but the book was excellent and written in the exact same style. I think it is interesting that although the style is supposed to be a parody of some authors personalities, it is actually good story telling with all the proper story elements, although done in parody style.

I hope he writes some more of these. I'd love to listen to them.

a perfect spooky story

Binge-worthy and hysterical, I listened to the whole book in a single sitting. If you like Garth Marenghi's Dark Place you'll assuredly enjoy this!

Hilariously Scary

Nickey Boy tells a good story, graphic and might need an editors’ pass, but good enough. ;)

A great writer can only write a book this bad.

The sharp comedy is written for fans of both reading and writing and some sentences contain multiple levels of jokes. I thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end and my only regret is that it didn't go on longer.

I would have used proper punctuation in the title of my review, but I believe that that is the crutch of cowards with no imagination. You now have the ability to sample the most brilliant mind and horror in an audio format for the first time and to not do so would be a sign of ill-breeding. I cannot recommend this enough. would ask anyone who is not cheap or choosing to live their life in a less than honorable fashion to make this a part of your horror collection.
