Publisher's summary

The gospel has come under attack since the days of the Apostles. In first-century Galatia, false teachers were creeping into churches and convincing Christians that they had to keep the law of Moses to be saved. To call these churches back from the brink of destruction, the Apostle Paul wrote what is likely his earliest letter: an unyielding defense of God’s saving grace in Jesus Christ. In this volume, Dr. R.C. Sproul guides us through Paul’s passionate letter to the Galatians. Knowing that the early church needed to safeguard the one true gospel, we too must defend the good news that we are justified by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.

Best Commentary on Galatians!

I've read/listened to several commentaries on the book of Galatians and R. C. Sproul's is the best one yet.

Marred by irrelevant political commentary

RC Sproul played a hugely impactful role in my spiritual formation. I read and reread his early books, such as Grace Unknown, over and over. In listening to his recordings shortly before his death I noticed a growing tendency to incorporate observations about American contemporary political issues that were purely his opinion and unrelated to sound exegesis. For example, RC said no-one should be allowed to vote on any proposition concerning tax policy if they were not in the tax bracket under discussion. This recording must date to that period as well. At some point early on in this book I was subjected to a discourse on why democracy is bad. I won't listen to any more of this "expositional commentary."
