Great romance

This is a great romance with a hint of danger. I look the way the author describes a painting as if I can see myself. I felt the same with the character in The Collector. I have always appreciated paintings but I now can feel some of what the artist felt while painting. Thank you.

Familiar,yet satisfies the urge for a love story.

Nora Roberts is a prolific romantic author, one of the best in her genre. I listen often and must say the telos are beginning to be predictable. I listen for total escape.

What greater escape is there than a cabin in the mountains of Colorado, a car mishap in the snow drops Laura into Gabes' hide-away. The gruff haunted artist was attracted to the ex-high fashion model.

it had potential, but ...

I was a bit disappointed in the short oppositional drama as compared to other Nora Roberts books. I am used to female narration, so I found the male narration hard to follow when switching to a female character.

Everybody of hers is amazing and I can't put it down. After each book I feel like I know the characters so well. so recommend this book

Old Trope with Great Narrator

I didn't like this story much. Stranded in a storm, poor rich girl who's a widow and pregnant meets rich artist and they fall in love. They marry the day the baby is born so he's legally the artist's. Meanwhile, and this is what turned me totally off, not only is the former mother-in-law a witchy nasty woman but also the artist's agent is as well. Everyone wants him protected but the new wife shows how strong she is.

Overall, the story was too ordinary and those two miserable women really ruined it for me. But the narrator, Todd Haberkorn, did an outstanding job. So much so that I kept forgetting there wasn't a female narrating the women's voices. Kudos to him for saving this story.
