Night Shift

Night Tales, Book 1

De: Nora Roberts

Narrado por: Kate Rudd

#1 New York Times best-selling author Nora Roberts presents a passionate story from the thrilling Night Tales series.…

Her voice was like whiskey, smooth and potent, but it was her contradictions that fascinated Detective Boyd Fletcher - the vulnerability beneath her tough-as-nails facade. Late-night radio announcer Cilla O'Roarke was being threatened by a caller, and it was Boyd's job to protect her no matter what. But the sultry deejay was getting under his skin, and the undeniable attraction that sizzled between them concerned the detective…because anything could happen on the Night Shift.

I love it.

From start to finish, I love it. I was lost in the story, like I was there caught up in the sound of her voice. Beautifully read and spoken like she was meant to read this book. Well done Kate Rudd well done!

Very early Roberts

Period piece from another era - definitely early years of romance genre. Ok, but not one of my faves as Cilla came across as so brittle.
Rudd was a decent narrator.

Good Book

I liked this book very good story had me guessing until the end. 5 stars

Great story

A smoky sounding night DJ finds love amidst terror inducing stalker troubles. She raised her sister after parents were murdered. Scarred and afraid of love and pain, she refused to open her heart...until her protector rejected her excuses.

A woman trying to sound like a man

The female and male voices performed be the same person really take you out of the story. Also the cost is way too much
