Characters are a bit too stereotypical for this author to use
The Hollywood star with the snobbery voice. The father which seemed more like an old James Cagney movie. The female lead learned so much about taking care of self and family, but never learned about manipulators and basic day-to-day interactions w people? Te hero was perfect, almost, especially craving for her while she has the flu?’ I just feel like she slapped out this story quic for the money. Lacking in-depth characters that make me enjoy her stories.

A little predictable
This was a pretty formulaic story, and not at all up to Roberts usual standard. That it was written when smoking cigarettes in the house was normal didn’t help the current-day reader get lost in the story. The reader was melodramatic making it a bit annoying to listen to.
