We make terrible decisions when we're young because we genuinely believe we know everything, but I loved watching the growth, hard earned lessons, and forgiveness play out here. Dawson's first manager was utterly despicable, and I was genuinely worried he would walk away without facing any consequences. Knowing he was held accountable and couldn't hurt anyone else was a massive relief.
The families in this story were so warm and supportive, which made the twenty-year gap feel like such a heart-wrenching waste of time. Leo staying away for two decades from people who loved him so deeply felt like a stretch, but watching them finally rebuild and reach their happily ever after was deeply satisfying. After everything they went through, they earned every bit of peace.
