Just ok

I read this bc I love Devon Ryder, but his British accent is lacking. I literally can't stand Dan Calley's voice and inflection. and yhe book wasn't really good. DNF

The book was great at taking us through the struggle the two main characters must travel through for love. It has some surprises and lots of understanding. 🔥

Oliver Takely’s Perfect Night (Soho Knights, Book 1) starts in London before sweeping to New York and back again, layering drama on top of drama until you’re left spinning with surprises. It’s engaging, unpredictable, and always moving.

The duet narration by Devon Ryder and Dan Calley is a real highlight, adding depth to the age-gap chemistry at the heart of the romance. That said, the mix of third-person writing with duet narration is unusual—it didn’t always click for me, making my overall experience a bit more neutral.

If you love complex plots, bold character choices, and some sizzle in the romance, this one is worth a try—just be ready for a few narrative quirks along the ride.

Sweet MM Book

So I am conflicted on this book. This is the first book that I have read by Oliver and it was hard for me to get started and really into it at first. Then I started to enjoy it more and then it felt a bit laggy and slow again and I started to lose interest. I really did like both MMCs. Charlie was trying to be independent and was so unwilling to ask for help or accept help while Sebastian just wanted to support and love him. I am glad that I pushed through the book. I give it 3.5 - 4 stars.

The narration was okay to me. I have definitely heard better. Both narrators were new to me and they just sounded a bit flat. 4 stars for the narration

Amazing Sweet Story

Honestly I loved this book. It's super insta-love and almost rushed in a way but I really enjoyed the ride. Both Sebastian and Charlie have some things to overcome, being trauma and poverty but this story is cute. I think the author does a good job of touching on trauma in a DV situation in the best way. I'm so glad I picked this book up. The narrations is amazing. Honestly I did not think this book could get better but the narration makes it that much better!
