Bestselling author Colleen Coble delivers gripping romantic suspense set in the wide-open heart of Texas. With more than five million books in print, Coble is a master of blending fast-paced intrigue with faith-filled storytelling. In the Lonestar series, danger, second chances, and unexpected love intersect at the Bluebird Ranch--where healing often begins when you least expect it.

Book One: Lonestar Sanctuary Allie Siders is desperate to protect her silent five-year-old daughter from a stalker. Seeking refuge at the Bluebird Ranch, she reunites with Rick Bailey--once a stranger, now her only hope. But old promises and new threats force Allie and Rick to face their pasts . . . and open their hearts to a future neither of them saw coming.

Book Two: Lonestar Secrets Returning to her hometown was never part of Shannon Astor's plan--until a chance to give her daughter a better life pulls her back. When she crosses paths with Jack MacGowan, her former nemesis turned single father, a mystery unfolds that could unravel everything she thought she knew about her past . . . and lead to a love she never imagined.

Book Three: Lonestar Homecoming Gracie Lister flees with her daughter and nothing but the dress on her back. When soldier and single dad Michael Wayne offers her refuge, their bond deepens. But Gracie's past is chasing her--and her dangerous ex-fiancé is closer than she thinks. Together, she and Michael must stand strong to protect the fragile new family they've begun to build.

Book Four: Lonestar Angel Eden Larson thought her daughter was lost forever--until her ex-husband Clay shows up with stunning news: Brianna may still be alive. Thrust into an undercover mission at the Bluebird Ranch, Eden and Clay must work together to uncover the truth. As old feelings resurface and danger closes in, they'll discover that sometimes God's plan for restoration is even bigger than our greatest heartbreaks.

Fast-paced and emotionally resonant, the Lonestar series is perfect for fans of Dee Henderson, Dani Pettrey, and Irene Hannon. Return to the rugged beauty of West Texas and discover a place where broken hearts are mended, families are rebuilt, and faith always finds a way. Don't wait--immerse yourself in Colleen Coble's Lonestar series today.

I don't understand why this author seeks to "beat a dead horse" with these books. I am on book three, which sees the third woman come into the same tiny town to be married as an arrangement of necessity within an impossibly tight time frame. Honestly, one would think that this wee town exclusively relies on rushed weddings and adoptions for growth.

The first story was easily predictable but at least different from my other reads. However, by the third iteration of similar plots, I am ready to pull out my hair.

Sadly, even though this series is only the second I have read from this author, the other series was *also* a collection of similar plots with only slight variations - all within the same tightly-knit group of people in a short time frame. I want to say I loved it all, but I am fairly disappointed.

Side Note:
The narrator uses an innocent, vulnerable (almost childlike in book 2) voice for her female leads. This was not too bad in book one. However, that makes it impossible not to notice when she switched up the book one female lead's voice to an older, more put-together tone as the friend of the new female lead. By book three, the narrator has added a slight Spanish accent to the same character. The lack of consistency is jarring. It is not the end of the world, but not great.
