First book, fantastic!
Editing my review. Maybe my standards aren't what everyone else's are... but I believe this storyline to be "different" than most. There aren't any plot holes, more plot twists! I do like the dance between the two main characters. Knowing there's attraction, and not giving in.... yet. The narrator is excellent! I could listen all day!

Absolutely nothing happens in this book.
I'm sure there's a purpose to this first book. Unfortunately, the author never gets there. Also the narrator is very monotone, doesn't help the story at all.

This was action-packed. Held my attention. Started and finished it in one sitting. Didn't even realize I needed answers like I needed air. It's a slow burn, and there is something between the two main characters. 🤤👌🔥 well done. I will be reading the 2nd book.

Turn the speed up
Very good book and extremely entertaining! If you have an issue with the narrator’s annunciation, just pop the speed up to 1.2x and it solves that problem. Slowed down it can be distracting.
Definitely recommend if you love a strong female lead and captivating plot.

Captivating listen
I really enjoyed this story, at first I wasn’t sure how I felt about the narrator but as you get to know the MC you realize how much she fits just right for her. This story definitely keeps you on your toes as you read. Can’t wait to listen to the next one!

Do awesome!!!
I was a little unsure when I first started listening. But I absolutely love this book and I’m so excited to listen to the second powerful, not naïve heroin, which is astoundingly refreshing from most other novels I have read in recent years. I absolutely hate an annoying, naïve main character that is weak the entire story, and then all of a sudden they become powerful and save the day 🙄 Quinn is wonderful, wicked, and powerful right off the bat. Must read!
