It’s Always Been You.

I love friends to lovers and it’s always been you. There’s just something about realizing your person has been the one who has shown up for you time and time again. I was incredibly excited for king and Saylor’s story and it did not disappoint. There were some scenes in this story that felt a little disconnected for me. The lunch meeting and backyard celebration being some examples. I loved the scenes, I just didn’t like the flow. Cannot wait for the next in the series! 9/10 recommend this one.

He is her forbidden king!

I love spending time with this ‘Ride or Die’ group of friends and I am so happy to finally have this much anticipated story and Forbidden King is everything I hoped it would be.
This group of friends are found family and truly have a special bond. So, as King finds himself falling for his best friend’s sister he is also torn because he doesn’t want any to jeopardize the friendship he has with her brother. What no one knows however is the special bond that he and Saylor shared when they were younger and were struggling with what life through at them but they never crossed a line until now. They tried to fight the pull they felt towards one another, but it was so easy for them to fall back into the same comfortable relationship and this time they can’t deny that they have always loved each other.
I also had the added benefit of listening to the audio version of this book and the narrators absolutely added to my enjoyment of this story!

Loving this series and having CJ Bloom and Jason Clarke narrate was sheer perfection. This is a new author to me and I’ve enjoyed these so much! Perfect length and great stories. Looking forward to number 4

Loved this story so much!

Oh how I couldn’t wait to read King’s book! This series is one of my favorites and this friend group are in a league of their own. I absolutely devoured this book. Narratives were perfect. King had me cracking up the whole time. King and Saylor have this bond that’s untouchable. I’m excited for the next book.

Cute and angsty

Forbidden King is the third book in the Magnolia Falls series, but it can be read as a standalone.

Friends to lovers is always a fun trope. I mean, you see their friendship and how they’re always there for each other. And then they slowly realize that they have feelings stronger than just friendship. Ah, I love it.

Kingston and Saylor were friends since childhood, and he was always her safe place. And now, he’s more protective.

I loved the way he was so supportive of her dreams. And their little game was cute!

They had so much chemistry, especially since they’d already been close. And they had great banter too.

There was some angst because Saylor’s brother was best friends with Kingston, and they weren’t supposed to be together. Kingston was a loyal friend, but his love for Saylor was stronger.

This was such a cute and easy read. And I’m so excited for the next book!

These two did an amazing job bringing the story and characters to life. They definitely made this an enjoyable listen.

A fun brother's best friend!

Forbidden King is the third book in Laura Pavlov’s ‘Magnolia Falls’ series and it was such a fun brother’s best friend romance.

Saylor and King have been close since they were young. King and Saylor’s brother Hayes are best friends. The typical best friend’s little sister… it seriously never gets old for me. I loved how much this couple cared for one another. It was forbidden and angsty at times while still feeling light and fun.

This series has left the biggest smile on my face. I have a feeling that the next book will be Nash’s and maybe a new doctor… either way I’m most looking forward to Nash’s book because of his adorably charming and hilarious son. I think it will be my favorite based on him alone.

I listened to the audiobook and thought the quality of the audiobook was great. Also, CJ Bloom and Jason Clarke really brought King and Saylor to life. I would highly recommend listening to this one and I’ve enjoyed this series so much!

Jason Clarke is hands down one of the best narrators around, this story was also so good!

Laura Pavlov Just Knows Small Town Romance

Forbidden King may have just stolen the top spot for favorite Laura Pavlov book! This group of friends in Magnolia Falls are fiercely loyal, and a group that makes you want to be a part of them, even if it's just through the pages of a book!

Kingston has suffered major loss in his life, and has always turned away from any type of commitment. Saylor has had her fair share of heartbreak in life. Starting at a young age, these two have leaned on one another in every way that matters, but because of loyalty and a sense of obligation, King has kept Saylor at arms length to ensure no one ever gets hurt or disappointed.

Everything changes between these two and lines start to blur when they give into their attraction, and try to "get each other out of their systems". We all know how that goes, don't we? haha. The heat and attraction was off the charts undeniable. Whew!

I loved this book and the audiobook added an even better element to it! CJ Bloom and Jason Clarke were fantastic narrator choices for both main characters, and they did a great job of adding differences to the side characters. I was laughing one minute, emotional another, and then fanning myself the next. I binged this in almost one sitting and cannot WAIT for book 4 in the Magnolia Falls series!
