Beautiful Story

I loved this book. I read this book twice before and own a signed copy, the ebook, and now the audiobook.
I have to say that this story was always great to me, but the audiobook took it to a whole new level. I felt all the emotions, the pinning and love, and the hurt.
I knew what was going to happen, but the years that go by just cut so deeply. Listening to this book with a males voice reading these words.. seriously heartbreaking through MC1 POV while MC2 is just completely oblivious to MC1 feelings.
This is a childhood best friend to lovers.
Slow burn, with very mild heat.
When they finally happen, it's like butterflies taking off in your stomach. You are just so happy for these two fictional men, and they love each other something fierce.

It's definitely worth listening to!

This is the story of an epic love that spans a lifetime. It is Steel Magnolias and Brokeback Mountain and so beautiful. So many missed chances and could-have-beens. Emmy Sanders ripped my heart out!

Narration by Blake Lockheart is wonderful, the perfect tone.

Such a sweet story, great narration, and HEA. Great character development, well worth the credit!

Incredible love story

Just finished the book. Made me cry several times. Made me giggle a few times too but really tugged at my heartstrings. Yeah, it’s a slow burn… but it needed to be. Because it’s actually a slow burn love story. Just wow. The only detractor (warning: spoiler alert), is the gay brother and the gay son. Not sure why so many of the characters had to be non-heterosexual. it’s just not representative of the population. Set it just a tad over the top. I was fine and in fact, absolutely adore the two main characters. There was no need to sprinkle in other non-hetero characters. Which leads me to my final point. I won’t be going on to the next book in the series. This book was it for me. Don’t want to ruin it. But just wow, what a beautiful love story. I will definitely listen to it again….and likely again and again.

It was so romantic all the way through.

I'd definitely recommend this wonderful romantic book. Be warned there's going to be happy tears. So get those hankies ready 😁
