Good story for most part

The story has great potential. It missed the mark with the side story of the past as the “why”. Not very imaginative. One of the male narrators was so slow and mechanical I changed the speed to 1.4. It was still awful. Will try another book by this author to see if they get it right.

Story and plot twist were decent. Some weird details that didn’t even make sense to focus on , like how white everything in the house was, were sort of annoying The guy narrator for Darren talked so slow, it was nerve wrecking.

A psychological thriller done right. I was on the edge of my seat throughout the story. Twists and turns and surprises throughout!

I thought I knew what was going to happen. The ending threw me for a loop. Very unexpected!

WOW

This was an awesome book. I couldn’t stop listening to it. I was hoping for a different outcome at the end, wanting it is somehow all work out for each of them. Listening to the narration from each person’s perspective really made you root for each of them. I was blown away by the ending, I never would’ve guessed the identity of the girl when it would flashback to the past, It’s hard to picture that all three girls in foster care had a bit of devilish quality in them and the grudge that continued to be held about what happened back then. Unbelievable, how everything tied together and finding out why the goal of the puppet master was to have everyone die at the end. This author did such a great job with this plot! The only thing I didn’t like was the way the guy narrated for Darren. It didn’t flow as easily or naturally. But other than that, I loved it.
