Great story and performances

The characters come to life, with great writing and great voice acting. This is one of the best series by Hondo.

How to improve your boxer

Much much better than the last book was a nice little story, if not a little predictable.

Good story ruined by bad audio level

Had to power through this one only because the story was good. Narrators where good and was able to understand them but the whispering and screaming nearly had me nearly returning this one. Had to drive with my hand on the volume for most of this book.

Best yet

Okay first off I got to say I love the shutouts to other writers (gaming emporium) with Yuki running it and calling her a shrewd negotiator…. I bet Daniel got a kick out of that.

Alright here we go with the actual review, I love it. I absolutely love it and the pace it’s going… it’s not fast and you get a sense of all the characters, Johnny still kicking butt and taking lumps his relationship with Freddie is stronger now than the previous book which is amazing, Lennie coming into the fold and how they handle it is just great, a lot of thought goes into the decision and Millie…. What can I say … she’s a sweetheart.

Overall it’s the best series yet, it’s subtle and sweet with a alpha male who isn’t a tool and who loves his women ferociously. The ending was the best and you got to love his Riders for what they did.

Hondo best yet series with the best very best VAs in the business, Chris and Jessica you can’t do any wrong (channeling Lou there).

Hope everyone enjoys the slower pace like I do and the set ups for the future entries, and if we meet like Hondo says let’s part as friends after a few beers.

Absolutely phenomenal!

The first story from the genre that I feel absolutely inclined to drop a review on.

Normally I just post soft-ish reviews on anything I finish… I’m pretty picky, so everything I end up picking up always interests me… but HOLY SH*T.
This has been an absolutely incredibly enjoyable experience for me.
Couldn’t stop listening, I binged my way through both books as soon as I was able too.
Super refreshing to have a “relatively low-stakes” story where the fate of the world doesn’t depend on the MC’s actions; yet the story was masterfully balanced in a way that continued to drive interest.

I thoroughly enjoyed the “slow-burn” main relationship, it felt like both characters were actually courting each other and building a relationship, as opposed to the normal slog where it’s “love at first sight”, for some stupid ass reason

The world building was captivating, which honestly surprised me because I never thought I would enjoy a boxing based story; despite my interest/experience with MMA… but I was unequivocally wrong. This story drove me to re-examine boxing as a whole.

I know the author is dealing with his own tribulations in life, but I feel inclined to BEG for the next book. I mean it. I want that book, however long it takes.

Both narrators did an excellent job and really brought the story to life, probably the best performance I’ve seen from both of them.

Hondo, you absolutely crushed it and I wish you nothing but the best. You really have some amazing talent and I have no doubt you could continue to build on the incredible world you have made. All the way to the top, baby!

Love the unique approach to the whole isekai genre. Great story with amazing characters! Well written and narrated. The series is a must purchase.
