Publisher's summary

Dan and Drew continue their quest for survival in the chaotic new world. Having gained a little more knowledge and weaponry, the two strike out to prepare for the coming winter and secure their base of operations. In the process, they discover a few frightening things about the former occupants of their neighborhood and the surprising existence of another person who has faced the apocalypse with a startling indifference.

Communicating via the bulletin board system, Dan meets another survivor not far away who would make a valuable third addition to their little group. His knowledge of obscure things, and seeming preparedness, leads Dan to believe that he is needed. Deciding to scoop him up in an impromptu rescue mission, the two travel north. Along the way, they discover the desolation that has been left by not only the infection, but an ongoing conflict between a paramilitary group and the surviving US Armed Forces.

As the world continues to crumble around them, new challenges and shocking discoveries will test their strength and unity. Only by teaming up with their new ally, and making it safely back home, can Dan and Drew hope to survive.

They're Starting to get it Together

Any additional comments?

Our two bumbling often inebriated friends from Episode 1 are starting to get a handle on the new world. All sorts of new critters both good and bad are emerging from a pug dog to new monsters. Fortunately bullets work on the new monsters and things go on with new looting and rescues.
This episode seemed very short, probably because it is. You just get into it and the story is rolling and then it is over.
I'll stay tuned for future episodes.

Wormwood Dawn 2

Dan and Drew realize there are more people alive than just them. They add to their posse of after apocolypse friends and realize something strange about a neighbor. They win some and lose some. The only drawback to these two is that they come off as Beavis and Butthead meet the apocolypse.lol
Narrator Clifford Edwards, again does a nice job.I was given this book for an honest review.

It was ok

What did you like best about Wormwood Dawn, Episode II? What did you like least?

I liked the fresh approach to an apocalyptic thriller. It had some unique perspective of an addicts take on the apocalypse but there just wasn't much in the main character to like. He wasn't particularly nice, or ruthless, didn't seem repentant or unforgiving. Maybe his character will be fleshed out more in the up coming books but on a stand alone book there just wasn't much here to hold on to. It wasn't a bad listening but it wasn't for me.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Wormwood Dawn, Episode II?

I am bad with Character names, but the most memorable even was when they went to pick up the 3rd guy and they see him just kinda of casually walking and shooting is way directly to them like it was a walk in the park almost. loved it!!

I love them all but i would have to say my favorite is Dan

If you could take any character from Wormwood Dawn, Episode II out to dinner, who would it be and why?

I would like to take all three of the guys, they would be hilarious to just sit and watch at dinner lol

A Heart-Pounding, Pulse Raising Horror Serial

This audiobook is a Heart pounding, Pulse raising, Nail biting, goosebump inducing story of monsters and mayhem with a apocalyptic setting.

I had completely forgotten how much I LOVED the first book in the Wormwood Dawn audiobook serial until I started listening to Book Two.

A few minutes into this audiobook and I was hooked once again. This is NOT a zombie fiction book. This book is Science Fiction/Horror and it is AWESOME. Now I want to kick myself for not listening to this book as soon as I downloaded it. I WILL NOT make that mistake with this series ever again.

Dan and Drew are two regular guys. Well, I guess they are definitely slackers, but they are loveable slackers. In the first book we find out that Dan is an alcoholic and Drew likes his marijuana a bit too much.

But neither of their addictions seem to matter when people around them start turning into rabid psychos.

The two friends hole up at Dan's house. But, when their cat ends up encased in a cocoon and then emerges as a horrific mutation, the two friends know that something very strange is going on and that the world has changed - and that change is NOT good.

In Book Two, Dan and Drew have gained both knowledge and weapons. They know that they will need to prepare for winter which is fast-approaching.

As they check out the other homes in the area, they make a few discoveries.

They are no longer alone...

I LOVED THIS AUDIOBOOK.

The first book in the series had a plethora of production quality issues. Those glitches have been reduced in Book Two and are no longer a factor. This is wonderful since it made the listening experience even better than I expected.

Dan and Drew are not the type of people that you would normally equate with the title of "hero." But that is exactly what makes them so compelling.

The action never stops in this audiobook and narrator, Clifford Edwards is an absolute pleasure to listen to. It is almost unbelievable that only one person narrates this book because Cliff is just that good. I have listened to hundreds of audiobooks over the years and I cannot remember any other narrator who was able to voice so many different characters with so much variation and still be able to keep the overall story flowing with apparent ease. The narrator deserves 5 Stars all his own.

I have seen some reviews of this audiobook that mention the "echo-y" sound in parts of the story. I thought the use of this "echo-y" technique was perfect. It is used when Dan and Drew are watching and listening to online news reports and it adds authenticity to the story.

The action begins right away and like a car whose gas pedal is stuck, the action is unending. I LOVED IT!

This horror audiobook serial is an absolute MUST LISTEN for all horror fans.

Thankfully I already have Book Three because I don't just want to listen to it, I NEED TO listen to it right away.

I rate WORMWOOD DAWN: Episode Two as 5 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and it has earned every single star.

Poor sound quality

Any additional comments?

The story of Dan and Drew continues with their humorous loser survival skills. The sound quality and cheesy narration is quite distracting and makes it difficult to enjoy the book.I enjoyed the authors portrayal of two misfits surviving the zombie apocalypse.I received an audiobook from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Two men against an ever-changing world

Dan and Drew, the unlikely duo, are out trying to survive. They are comfortable, but they are running out of food and booze, so they decide to go out on some supply runs. Things aren't looking good when they hear gunshots near the house. Wormwood Dawn: Episode Two will have you along for the ride while these two try and rescue neighbors and new friends alike.

Narration for this (and the rest of the Wormwood Dawn series) was done by Clifford Edwards. Clifford has the perfect voice for this. He voices the perfect deep, dark, and definitely libertarian voices. It's just so incredibly fitting for these books. Once again the awesome effects were present in this audiobook, news reports sound like they're on a TV. He voices the crazy old woman that the men go "rescue" in a funny female rendition. The sound quality is still lacking a little bit here, but I've been told that Episode III is going to be much better. The quality takes nothing away from the narration of this story at all.

Wow, well this story has some teeth. If the first episode was a marathon, this story is a sprint. There is no "getting to know" in this, from sentence one this story is full of action. Dan and Drew are really fun to listen to and follow in this story. They are no like anyone that I know, and I still feel like I know the duo really well. I chalk that up to the incredible writing that Crae does for these books. Every page, every second has me glued to my seat wondering what on earth could happen next. This episode is a top-speed dragster run from 0-120 in less than 5 seconds. Just pure craziness going on in this book. And I loved every second of it.

I know that there are at least a few more in this episodic series, but, hearing how well Edwards narrates them, I've been spoiled. Even though I want to know what happens to these guys, I need to hear it. The combination of Crae's fast-paced writing and Edwards' quick tongue has me chomping at the bits for the next book to be released.
