Imagine The Bourne Identity meets The Firm.
________________________________________
Two blood-spattered strangers awake, locked in the trunk of a car - with a murdered cop and the smoking gun. Aside from raging headaches and no idea what's happened, they appear to have nothing in common. Troy thinks it's 2001 and he's still a combat surgeon fighting terrorists in Afghanistan. Emmy believes it's 2002 and she's still grifting a living from the streets of LA.
Are they archenemies or co-conspirators? Lovers or friends? What are they doing in the Caribbean, and why is a Croatian assassin determined to kill them? The only thing they know for certain is that they'll be spending the rest of their lives in prison if the police catch them before they learn the truth.

If not for Dick Hill
I don’t know where to start but to say I only managed to finish it because Dick Hill is so good at what he does.
This book reads like an old Mickey Spillane novel. Full of sixties misogyny and characters that are shallow and cartoonish.
There was almost no attention to the details that a modern thriller writer needs to create compelling intrigue like great writers such as Michael Connelly and Lee Child have made us expect.
Without getting into spoilers there are plot holes and snags that show a real lack of knowledge on the authors part.
If you like suspense novels for intricate plots that you hang on every detail, trying to figure out the clues laid down by the author, this is not for you. This is more like the written equivalent of one of the CSI tv shows, full of hyperbole and logic leaps.
I still gave it two stars because the author did manage to finish a book and get it published. Good for him. I hope he grows up a little in his thinking (especially towards women) and gets a good editor that will give honest feedback.

Clunky
What would have made Flash better?
The story line intrigued me so I kept trying to listen. At just under 2 hrs, I gave up. The writing is clunky, gets bogged down with unnecessary description and just didn’t flow easily. Felt like a novice writer. The reading wasn’t any better. There were times my grocery list would be more exciting. Sorry, just couldn’t get into “the long legs” and perfect looks of a guy checking out the chicks while his life was on the line.
Would you be willing to try another one of Dick Hill’s performances?
Not on purpose, perhaps he would be better with a better story.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Flash?
I would cut a ton on adjectives and show more expression and feelings. There’s a lot of telling going on.

Nicely done all around
I enjoyed listening to this book as the narrator is one of the better narrators on Audible. The plotline kind of reminds me of the Bourne series where the characters cannot remember who they are but seem to be on some sort of mission that went wrong. If you like the detective and sci-fi genres, you might like this book.

When I first look for this book I had noticed author's note what to expect while reading his books. Baldacci and Child fans will find themselves smiling. First I couldn't decide what to think about it but then i got curious and read both betrayal and flash in four days.
Only thing I can say it was beyond my expectations and I will be looking for his novels from now on.

I'm a audio book junkie and I had exhausted my regular authors. Took a look at Tim's book and downloaded it. Wow was I glad. I'll put him at the top of my list.
Compelling story, great charters and style.

Brilliant - totally unique mind and imagination
Any additional comments?
I've now read 2 books by Tigner (BETRAYAL and FLASH) and both are totally unique, HIs imagination and ideas and detail are wonderful FLASH was gripping but I kept reading and then felt it was gone in a flash but it really was over 12 hours of a fascinating story. BETRAYAL began in Afghanistan and the moved to the DC area; FLASH gets into financial schemes and Grand Cayman. His books start sort of slow and lay the whole detail bases of the exploding narrative to come. And when the tension begins, the story is amazing;. I can't wait until other books from this author come on Audible. I've written him and found out one is coming out in August. Right now - I want more. The two so far show an understanding of body chemistry and drugs which become weapons REALLY REALLY GOOD. I recommend this author highly.
Dick Hill as usual is wonderful and totally the right narrator for the book.

Don't miss this one!
What made the experience of listening to Flash the most enjoyable?
From the first paragraph, this novel sweeps you away into the world of its likable protagonists. You feel their hopes and pains and frustrations as they try to understand and resolve the mystery they've been plunked into along with the reader.
At the same time, you begin to see the plot from the antagonists' point of view. While bent, they're also human. Otherwise decent people who are now sliding down a slippery slope that bad luck and circumstance set them on.
Some reviewers comment that you need to suspend disbelief to enjoy this, but I didn't find it far fetched at all. Not when you see the crazy things really going on in our world, and the amazing inventions that now seem commonplace. I'm glad the author didn't spend chapters going into technical detail.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I liked Emmy. She's smart and witty, and far from cardboard as a con-artist. Her fortune-telling scene is amazing.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

What did you like best about this story?
It kept you listening, till the conclusion , and was easy to follow, and was plausible . The reading didn't, have or need any profanity, which was nice.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I listen to a lot of audio books, and this one is one of my favorites. And yes it was.

Great Story
What did you like best about this story?
I liked everything about this story. It reminded me a lot of Dean Koontz's earlier novels, which have been my favourites for a long time.
