Ursula herself has embarked on a shaky new relationship with Julian, a local antiquarian bookseller. But her 11-year-old daughter, Jessie, has taken the break-up very badly. Her father's favourite, she has put up walls, closed doors and turned to Julian for support - but Julian himself is hard to read. And when Jessie goes missing, everyone is caught off-guard and relationships are stretched to the limit.
Very slow moving unrealistic and boring plot
Reader has a sickly sweet voice and made the characters unlikeable
