Adrian Plass has a wonderful way of looking at the way Christians behave, and the gap between what they really are and what they appear to be in public. It's full of British humour (he warns that Americans do not understand irony). It's a wonderfully encouraging book and life giving book. WAARNING: Not for anyone who takes the church too seriously.

Really enjoyed listening to my favourite of the Sacred Diaries, so many funny stories, and it brought tears to my eyes at times as well.
4 stars not because it will ever be ranked a literary classic, but because through his wonderful, insightful, sharp yet gentle humour, Adrian Plass reaches into the heart and leaves little nuggets of wisdom about God's great love.
Simply, a very enjoyable listen.
