Dr. Carvington worked countless hours down in his laboratory trying to perfect the greatest breakthrough in medical history. Most of his subjects were very unhealthy and barely made it through Dr. Carvington's experiments. Dr. Carvington wasn't about to give up his work on any poor useless specimen that meant absolutely nothing to him in a personal way. Dr. Carvington must have seen a half a dozen specimens before the right one came along.
