Yolanda Joe, author of the Blackboard best-seller Bebe’s By Golly Wow, crafts a touching novel about returning to your roots to understand where you’re headed. Terri Mills’ star is on the rise. A smart and ambitious lawyer, she has everything going for her — until her fiance is unfaithful. Suddenly facing an uncertain future, Terri travels to Arkansas and the bedside of her ailing grandmother, who has plenty of wisdom to share.
This book is a good book and funny also. I just thought the main character was too washy with her fiancé. It was just annoying me how long it took for her to call it quits after he basically kept telling her that he cheated on her because of who she was and she couldn't do better because she was dreaming of something she could never have. He really wasn't apologetic about cheating on her so why was she even considering marrying him. It just drove me nuts.
