Publisher's Summary

A badly burned body with a fresh incision and a missing kidney leads Walt into the clandestine world of an organ trader ring that has set up shop in Kansas City.

Walt is determined to bring to justice the bootleggers, who purchase body parts from the disadvantaged and sell them to people with means, until a relative from Maggie's past turns up needing a kidney to survive.

Once again, Walt discovers that very little in his world is black and white.

Eye Opener!

I love how Robert Thornhill is able to write humor and current issues into one. The series of Lady Justice is appropriately titled. The relationship of Walt, Maggie, Ox, Judy, Willie is so special. Like the story said, sometimes life just doesn't make sense. The issue of Black Market Organ Trading is real and scary, but it makes one ponder to what means they would go. George Kuch continues to perform all of the characters with distinguishable voices. This team of author and narrator is so good. Kansas City is the setting of this series, and the imagery is very fitting. I love how each book is a standalone listen, yet has tidbits from previous books included. The inclusion of "Dead Man Walking" in regards to people on the organ donation list added humor to a grim subject. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily wrote this review. I will continue to listen to more books by this talented author and narrator. Choices are based on circumstances in our life.

Well done

I am a huge fan of Robert Thornhill. This is book 16 in this wonderful series. Robert always has a topic he wants to get across. In this book it is the controversial subject of organ harvesting. Walt and his friends get caught up in this subject and the ugly side of selling organs is highlighted. Robert does such a great job of bringing a little humor into a very serious issue. As always this was so well done. Then you have George Kuch who does this amazing job of narrating these books. I heat his voice and can picture Walt in my mind. I listened to this book with my Mom who is 80 and she loved it too. I was gifted this book by the author and thank you so much. This review is 100% mine and true.

Thought provoking & funny

Although this tackles a series topic, it's done in a way that doesn't feel heavy. It's thought provoking and really makes you question good vs evil. The comedic relief provided by Walt & the whole gang is what makes this series what it is. Another home run!

Another great Audio Book..

Indeed, there is no better way to bring in the new year than this powerful collection of stories , this is my 16th book of Walt and his adventures...What I love best is the true human element to all of Robert Thornhill's novel's... For those who are fans of the genre, this is a true gem and highly recommended for anyone who dares to open the book...but once started, be warned it will be difficult to put it down. It's gripping, exciting, and every bit a page turner as the author's previous works!

George Kuch is the perfect narrator, he brings life to Walt and his gang, making it more than a story but more like following the excerpts of a group of friends..

each story just gets better

I love these books. Each one gets more thought provoking than the last. They give you something to think about long after the story is over. Great characters, good plot, and I enjoy the narrator. Definitely worth a listen, unless you don't want to see the world we live in under a different light. then I would skip it.

Body Parts for Sale

I absolutely love this series you do not have to listen to series in order because some could be stand alones but recommend you do. They are thought provoking with humor. I love the characters of Walt, Maggie, Ox, Judy and the rest of their extended family. This book is about organ donation and would you buy organ at high prices. Narrator is great. This book was given to me by author and I provided this voluntary review but would buy it anyway. THANK YOU keep them coming!!!

Lady Justice and the Organ Traders

Lady Justice and the Organ Traders
By: Robert Thornhill

Walt and Maggie face new challenges and moral choices. Illegal organ trading is the focus for the listener to ponder. What would you do if it wee your loved one in need? Mr. Thornhill, thank you for highlighting this issue.

The whole gang make appearances to liven things up. The books would be lacking without them!

I find myself re-listening to these books many times.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. George Kuch brings Walt and the gang to life. I can't imagine anyone else narrating this series!
