The garden of Newearth is all Abriel and his brothers have ever known. Out past the hedge lies the wild places to which he feels mysteriously drawn. Armed only with the training of his wizardly teacher, he faces the greatest adventure of his young life. He is driven onward by an unlikely guide and a dream of visiting The Floating City; the shining home of the High King. The stakes are greater than he could ever imagine, as the world's entire future depends on his every move.
This book gives a fascinating and entertaining perspective on what Christians may have to look forward to. The story was very engaging, and makes me more excited than I've ever been at the idea of Heaven. For me, it also served as an excellent reminder of how crafty the devil is, and how easily he can use your own beliefs to manipulate you. Very unique book from a visionary author.
