Publisher's Summary

Sloane Osborne is a paranormal real estate agent in the business of selling haunted houses, but, in truth, she’s only searching for one ghost. And her time is running out.

It’s the 366th day after her fiancé’s death. Michael used to like putting things off for “a year and a day” - so tonight’s the night. Sloane will do anything to make contact with him before the clock strikes midnight. When she gets a call to check out a home in Waukesha, Wisconsin, it’s the last place she thinks Michael would contact her.

Sloane is dead wrong.

Great story, Great Characters, Great Narration

Haunts for Sale Book 1 First Contact had a great narrative flow. Never wasted words on unimportant information. Everything was needed. The story had some good, spooky elements and an enjoyable mystery. The love story was well developed and the idea behind the story was very original.

The narration was great. Kate Tyler did an excellent job of bringing the characters to life.

I requested a free review copy of this audiobook and I am leaving a voluntary and honest review.

A Pleasant Surprise!!

This is the first book from Kat Green that I have read! It was PERFECT! I just recently joined the Romance Package and this is one of the stories I chose. It had just the right amount of Romance along with Mystery and Suspend and a dash of Thrill!
The Narrator was good. Very intriguing story-line! I can't wait for the next book!

First Contact

Sloane is on a mission to make contact with her dead fiancé before he crosses over. Unless he already has, because today is the last day she thinks she has to find out. But their is only one issue she’s never seen a ghost before. Her mentor has , but really neither are sure she ever will, until she walks in a house full of ghosts and starts seeing them all. Things get a bit crazy from here on out. Realizing that the current owner of the house could have possible been a serial killer really puts the story in a new light. The story is so edge of your seat waiting for what happens next I could not shut it off. I ended up staying up all night to finish and it’s one of those stories that sticks with you. You kinda see it coming but there are still some surprises. I still may need water! Fantastic job on the narration.

Simple Story

I love the core idea of the story but was disappointed in the execution (the story itself, not the narration) The main lead lacks common sense and makes reckless decisions. The story itself is very simple with no real depth or explanation to it. The narration was fantastic. I enjoyed the pacing and character voices. Overall this is a simple story that I hope the author goes into more depth with in future installments because the core idea is a great one.

This has such a freaky twist! I loved it!!!

Where does First Contact rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

our heroine is hoping to see her lost love one more time in fact 1 more time a year and day. She is has been searching haunted houses and even makes a business of finding haunted houses for people to purchase. Well she walks in with more then she can bargain for when yes, she sees her boyfriend one more time, but also hears woman crying out for thirst from the basement but no one is there at the house she is staying at. And it gets worse and worse from there. You have to read this book. I couldn't stop listening it to. It was one of the better books I've read this year. And boy wait til the twist. Your like what????

Narration Win!

I’d love to first talk about the narrator Kat Tyler! She was really awesome with this story. Everything felt right when she spoke. She had a clear voice and was good with all the emotions that needed to be evoked. Such as happy, love, and fear during the supernatural creepy bits. I loved the life she gave these characters and especially the villain! I give the audio a 5/5!

The story itself is also fun! You do have to just go with the flow on this one since it has a pretty odd premise. But I found myself really hooked into it by the first chapter. Green does a good job with the backstory and place setting. I do wish there was more on the villain as he is just such a cool character! And I also wish some of the characters would not be so easily misled lol. But overall it was a good story and I look forward to the next in the series!! I give the book a 4/5
I received this audiobook as part of my participation in a blog tour with Audiobookworm Promotions. The tour is being sponsored by Kat Green. The gifting of this audiobook did not affect my opinion of it.

First Contact: Haunts for Sale Series, Book 1

If you had a chance to connect with the dead, would you? If someone that you love died, would you try to reach out to them? How long would you try to reach out before giving up? Green has an interesting take on the horror aspect of the spirit world. This story is captivating and will pull the reader into a warped world of dead women and a thirst for more of this series.

Sloane has been trying to contact her beloved fiancé for one year and a day. This is her last chance and it has taken her to Wisconsin. She has never really seen anything unusual like ghosts or spirits, but that doesn’t circumvent her belief one bit. She is determined that her fiancé, Michael, will reach out to her one last time. Killed in a car accident and taken from her way too soon, she feels jaded and her resolve to contact Michael in the spirit world is persistently strong. But, she doesn’t plan on being contacted by anyone else…much less A LOT of women who are asking for water. The house in Wisconsin is known for being haunted and has been vacant for a while with the previous owner in the hospital dying of lung cancer. This is her job, finding haunted houses and selling them to prospective buyers. But this house…Sloan knows that something is going on and she is determined to get to the bottom of this pit of mystery. Even if…Michael and the women warn her of the danger that she is getting herself into by pursuing the case, she can’t sell the house without finding out all of its secrets.

Green has a superb story-line and wonderful character development in this first installment. Her characters are interesting, determined, mysterious and quite deceptive. This review is complimenting the audiobook; however, the narrator reads the story with ease and a fast pace, leading the reader to believe that the book is well-written. Tyler perceives Sloan in an entertaining way; her narration allows the reader to understand her feelings, her beliefs and her history with the job, friends, and her fiancé. If you are a reader of paranormal horror, you may want to try this series. Since this is the first installment, the reader can jump right in.

A copy of this book was provided to Turning Another Page by the Audiobookworm Promotions, but this in no way affects our honest opinion of the book or the review that has been written. We provide a five-star rating for First Contact by Kat Green.
