Dylan and Grace Cooper expected to be together forever, but when World War I tears them apart, both are forced to move on with their lives. Twenty years later, Dylan discovers Grace's whereabouts, and the reunion that follows challenges them both to conquer painful memories and attempt to rekindle a long-lost love
I wanted to give fair warning to anyone considering the purchase of this book. I would have given it much higher than a 3 star rating, because it is actually well written and quite interesting, but the download is missing most of Chapter 22, all of Chapter 23, and most of Chapter 24. It is an obvious break in the story line. I had to get the book from the library to find out what was in the missing section, because it was driving me crazy.

I chose this book because I enjoy listening to John McDonough. He does a great job, as usual, of bringing the characters to life. I enjoyed the first part of the story very much, but it seemed to me that there were a lot of gaps in the story, where years when by and the reader was left wondering. Then the story picks up again in a totally different setting. I think the story ended quit abruptly and I guess I was expecting more detail about the reunion of the couple. Probably not a book that I would include in my "top ten" favorites.
