Publisher's summary

The 'unparalleled romantic adventure' of Nalini Singh's New York Times best-selling series continues as a new dawn begins for the Psy-Changeling world....

The Psy-Changeling world has undergone a staggering transformation and now stands at a crossroads. The Trinity Accord promises a new era of cooperation between disparate races and groups. It is a beacon of hope held together by many hands: old enemies. New allies. Wary loners. But a century of distrust and suspicion can't be so easily forgotten and threatens to shatter Trinity from within at any moment. As rival members vie for dominance, chaos and evil gather in the shadows, and a kidnapped woman's cry for help washes up in San Francisco, while the Consortium turns its murderous gaze toward a child who is the embodiment of change, of love, of piercing hope: a child who is both Psy...and changeling.

To find the lost, protect the vulnerable and save Trinity, no one can stand alone. This is a time of loyalty across divisions, of bonds woven into the heart and the soul, of heroes known and unknown standing back to back and holding the line. But is an allegiance of honour even possible with traitors lurking in their midst?

Errors in every chapter of audio version

First of:
It is a sad thing when I have to detract stars of any book due to bad narration let alone from a good one. When I have to do it due to errors in recording, it's like a slap to both the author and a great narrator. Seriously, I would never do that if it was a few glitches. But every chapter, at least one word missing? Please correct this. It's not fair to either party in this story.
Regarding this book, it is explained by author as a kind of wrap up of arc one and introduction to another arc, and I did enjoy reading about all our favourite couples again, but still.... It was a bit to mushy for my taste. When you have a real soul mates story in a midst of good suspense, it's believable. When all of relationships in a story are perfect and there's barely anything else happening or too many things happening at a same time? Not so much. I'm still wondering what was the point of this sequel. It left too many doors open and I kinda expected at least some of them closed. Add to it the recording errors factor and it just left a feeling of irritation. Not a brilliant moment for otherwise great author and certainly not a brilliant moment for Audible.
