Great series! Even out of order!
Since the second book was available on audible first, I ended up listening to these out of order, but it really didn’t hurt the experience since they each focus on different characters and their back stories. This book was good, but it felt more like it was laying the stage and didn’t get into the action until halfway through, focusing more on romantic dynamics in the first half. The author definitely gets better as they go with these books and each book has more action than the last, with the second book starting off with action from the beginning instead of waiting so long, which is preferable to me. She has created a horde of really great characters, and I am eagerly awaiting the fourth book. Narrator was good, although she doesn’t really do any character voices. I do wish the author had made sure all of the narrators were on the same page with pronunciations, as there is some variance across all three books with a few of the character’s names (e.g., This book says Lisa, but the other 2 say Liza. Damieno is pronounced differently in this book than the next 2 & Tuhkao is only pronounced differently in the 2nd book).
