Not my favorite

Story was ok. Got a little long, and didn’t love the narration. Pulled it together but a lot of story was boring and could have been left out

The story just wasn’t very compelling, and I found it to be somewhat predictable. It was well narrated though.

Very good!

Okay, so I have to be honest. Most of the time, I guess the endings of books. Or, the endings are so ridiculously outlandish that there's no way for it to be a plausible ending. Yet this author keeps me guessing! She's really good! I wasn't disappointed in this book, either. Her characters draw you in, The book moved at a quick pace and kept me up way too late at night. I'm off to buy her next book!

As usual, I like to mention language, etc. I prefer zero swearing in my books, but it seems to be all the rage these days. This has a fair amount of swearing, but at least it's not every other word. No sex scenes. There's mention of violence, as is the nature of crime thrillers and murder mysteries, but, thankfully, there aren't any details. (I hate when authors describe every detail, desensitizing people to it, and even glorifying it. This author certainly doesn't do that.

Terrific unpredictable plot

Most engaging, with believable people and exquisite writing. One of the best books of this type.

Fine diversion…weak ending

Lots of fun setups without particularly good payoffs. Squeaky clean. It’s good for puttering around and doing chores.

Twists

This book was extremely well written and edited its an easy five stars. The narrator was superb as well. I actually just thought the story was so amazing it had everything in it like a movie that has you worrying crying laughing and upset it was a great book.
