Intriguing short love story (bwwm) in ITALY.

An italian male boss falls for american black female worker with a secret past. Perhaps it is love at first sight.. This story is short, quick and intimate scenes are kinda R rated (not X). Of course the alpha male saves the day.. This is worth the small credit & money.. Very cute..

I love this strong heroine and the hot sex scenes!

Which character – as performed by Katrina Holmes – was your favorite?

I loved Alexander. Oh man this is the first time hearing such a great Italian accent and then the speaking of Italian was so freaking sexy. Katrina did a great job narrating this book. A few mistakes here and there but even with the mistakes I couldn't stop listening!!

Any additional comments?

I was given this book in return for my unbiased honest opinion. This book is awesome something about Veronica's writing makes you feel like you are indulging in a novel when truly you are listening to a short story under 2 hours. You will find that this book has just as much character building and emotions from the characters in such a short period of time which just leaves you feeling like you just had a great experience peaking in someone else life. Veronica is such a great writer and I cherish these books. Oh and she can write a mean sex scene! I am all about the hot scenes...more please!!

I enjoyed the first book in this series but this one left me wanting. It took too long to get to the point and was almost predictable. It seemed to follow along after the first book but was not to my taste. Alexander's proposal to spend the weekend just getting to know each other and he would set Samantha up with the thing she wanted most was so much like buying her that it was a turn-off for me.

I am loving these mini European vacations!

This is a sequel to Just in Time, but if you haven't listened to/read that one, no worries. This romantic short story works fine as a standalone. It's a well-written, interesting, complete story with no cliffhanger. Samantha is attracted to her boss, the very sexy Alexander, but she's trying very hard to stay away and not be that girl who mixes business and pleasure. Alexander appears to be on the same page, in that he has been fighting his feelings for her as well, but he has absolutely NO problem with the introduction of some serious pleasure to the mix. Add in some dangerous baggage of Samantha's that has followed her from the States, and you have another highly enjoyable listen from Veronica Maxim.

Katrina Holmes does a great job with both the male and female characters, including the Italian accent. Her tone and inflection are good, and she has a good feel for how to perform the book in the way I think the author intended.

This title was given to me and I enjoyed it very much, the story was good and I wanted it to go on and develop the characters so maybe there more to come

Sweet Office Romance

Samantha is tempted by her handsome boss, Alex.
Her boss has been holding onto his feelings for Samantha and he has to find a way to get her to give him a chance, without looking at the boss/employee dynamic.
The two decide to take a chance and during this there are a few complications that can pull them apart.
This story was very enjoyable. The two had good chemistry.

The problem I had with the book was that the narration did not take out the parts where the narrator made mistakes. That was a bit of a distraction.

A hot, steamy romance with your hot boss in Italy, what more could you ask for. Samantha and Alexandra are great together. This is a great short romance with a little danger thrown in.
