Publisher's Summary

Expressions of Poetry by Montice Harmon is a beautiful collection of semi-confessional poems that speak about the poet's trials and tribulations. The poems are a kind of motivation for depressed minds and discouraged people to rise above their problems and face the world with a positive attitude.

Most of Harmon's poems are prose poems. He takes prose poems to another level with this collection. The poems all deal with some aspect of the poet's personal struggles - his joys and sorrows - and they connect you with his spirit and inner mind.

Poetry need not be confessional all the time, but it can most often be the result of some soul-searching or some emotions that are embedded in the poet's mind.

Many poems are inspiring for the listener. They help the listener to come to terms with personal tragedies and rise above them.

Love It!!!

Expressions of Poetry is such a wonderful collection of mordern day hip hop Spokenword Poetry. It delivers a testimony of a poetic soul searching for freedom within, escaping distractions from things that makes our flesh weak.

I found Montice Harmon's words very genuine and promising to the point I have a stronger belief now today, then I did yesterday about the coming changes of our lives. His story makes a difference to those who understand his struggles. He speaks of his burdens in hope to grow and become the man he was sent here to become.

After listening with friends, I had to introduce this audiobook to my partner and as we listened together it brought the fire of love into our relationship as far as rekindling our romance. In so many ways this edition hits on all levels of life where one may be lacking and not even knowing it until you discover inspirational stories like this one I discovered 😊.

The Dream.. in Prose Poetry.

I love the essence of this story. The meaning it brings forth along with the connection to the poets trails and tribulations. There's nothing wrong with dreaming and this American writer has giving me and family peace and hope that better days will come and set us free.

I will not critize his belief because obviously it works for him and has inspired his life to become the change the needs today through spoken word. I was touched, encouraged and motivated beyond boundaries. I will be using this book as a daily inspiration to my everyday thoughts.

Really Good Story!!!

I enjoyed the story and thought it was well performed with genuine opinions, aspirations and dreams. From love to encouraging his people and people all around the world to unite, love, honor and respect one another. How could anyone judges one's hope for a better future for not only his people whom he relates to. But to all people around the world who can relate. There's powerful testimonies of truth in his spoken word.

After reading the only negative review made me realize many might disagree with truth when it's them that are a part of the bloodline that ruined the mentality of another races culture corrupting their indenity and stealing everything from them. Their sole purpose from the beginning, past, present and future. Which, in our lifetime today we have this broken generation.

It's sad my culture or race could judge what he/she do not understand. I understood everything he talked about and despite the fact I'm caucasian, I still understand their struggles. However, Harmon doesn't hate anyone and nothing but peace flowed from his poetic soul and I don't blame him for what he speaks about in this edition because it's "TRUE" "TRUTH". It opens my mind to understanding a intelligent race with so much potential. I loved all the revolutionary concerns in his poems. All the love, joys and even pains because it teaches you how to love no matter what unless you're evil like most of my ancestors and people today.

Righteously Legendary

Encouraged from the moment I started listening to this story. His visions are clear and speaks a million volumes of life. Harmon voice consoles listeners and guides them with knowledge and understanding of what we are and the control we have as a people to live in a world where change can come truth only if we believe.

His thoughts and opinions are deep religion folding into mordern day doctrines of truth and no room for lies. The thing I love dearly is that he doesn't deny his belief or faith in a higher power of love. Not of hate or being misunderstood. Judgment is our biggest problem and through this story I've learned no matter.. to never give up on love, life and believing we are important and deserve more then we've accepted.

Truth!!!

I cannot argue with what he's expressing because it's real and honest. I loved his journey through the identity of who we are and where we should be as a people.

His vision on life is a wonderful experience of what I'd imagine life like here on Earth. I've had my moments when that voice inside speaks to you and allow you to understand where you are and where you're going through love and life.

I understood his concerns, his connection with love and how he long for understanding in things that will prove us justice in the end. I'm all for it and Support poets with revolutionary moves in thought, mind and soul. His voice is so romantically involved in each verse that it takes you on a therapist journey through his life. I just died hearing him sing over the lyrics to "You Lied, You Cheated." What a fun and joyous moment.

I would love to hear more of this kind of poetry. It's spoken word told in story form. Hearing Harmon's voice is a breath of fresh air inspiring everlasting life.

How Could Anyone.. Shade?

As soon as I started this audiobook I was captivated by Montice voice as it took me in a journey into reality. As he logically speaks on topics related to all our lives here in America and where his people is.. gives those who don't understand a feel of what it's like being Black Man in mordern day America.

He's telling the truth on so many levels that a hit, confused dog will holla. I found this story ground breaking, raw and uncut expressions of prose-spokenword poetry that delivers freedom throughout it all., having listeners feeling some type of way about the truth to those going through the same stuff.

Face it, we can't throw shade at something we don't understand or can't relate to. Harmon says it better. I love his style of writing, his smooth distinctive voice, along with the magical connect you feel exploring his life, his destiny. A destiny those with a heart that desires change in our world. That's the difference between the poets thoughts verses anyone's opinion when it comes to His Expressions of Poetry!!! I love it!!!

New Fan of Prose-Poetry

I didn't expect to enjoy Harmon's collection as much as I do now. The only thing I can think of to describe this experience is: inspirational. I'm more of a classical poetry type of person than I am into modern day poetry. However, I am now a Huge fan of prose after hearing this poets story.

OMG!!!

This audiobook was great. I learned a lot about haters and how to deal with their pettiness. Not only how to survive the storm life throws our way
But how to deal with issues we can't control.

There was no fabrications to his life, hopes and dreams for our world today. I can relate to all the other reviews when it comes to how this edition resets your train of thought to a whole new perspective. Which makes it somewhat a mordern day self-guide to self-esteem and understanding.

The Black Poets American Dream..

Harmon finds prose-poetry as an infinite strength to express towards rejecting gang violence, drugs, fatherless and abandon children while examining historical injustice acts towards black people all around the world.

He explores and speak the mordern day doctrines very relative to the great Black American leaders such as Malcolm X and Dr. King.

Harmon's calm distinctive demeanour is appealing to the lyrical onslaughts comforting the nature of his poetic subject matter. His words are promising.

Great Story with Life!

This memoir was very adventurous and life-changing. Me and my daughter connected with the poets moral situations. We learned that no matter how old and different anyone is we should never count them out and seek change. There's a strong message in this great poetry collection. I would recommend to anyone

Expressions of Poetry (Audiobook)

What a great experience hearing these beautiful words read by the author himself. With his voice it connects the reader to his story and takes you a ride of a lifetime sharing love, respect, regret but overall the will power to defeat the enemy.

"You Lied, You Cheated" was one of my favorite because he sings accapella. I fell in love with all the ones he shared emotional sound on. It sent chills all over my body. So dope that I can't get enough and can't wait until the next edition. This book is wonderful 😁.

Poetic Justice!

There's a lot of positive energy in this story and I'm all for it. His vision is so similar to the American dream Dr. Martin Luther King had of change amongst all people.

Each poem sets the vibe right. Rather it's regarding love, life or overcoming the lost of a loved one. There's a lot of life and poetic justice wrapped around Harmon's thoughts throughout this story.

Glad I Gave It A Try!!!

What a wonderful audiobook filled with wonders, hopes and what seems the American dream. However, because of the history of his ancestors it has torn his culture and race in all a part. His words are deep and the topics are very modern day. Very common in the states. I feel his pain and struggles for a better world. I think when we all do we would be better off...
