If you enjoy hot erotica you'll enjoy this
Where does Sweet Danger: Erotic Stories of Forbidden Desire for Couples rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Violet Blue, is a great writer of erotica, and great editor of anthologies of erotica. This is a really great collection of couples having what most people would consider dangerous encounters for their relationship. However it all works so well here. Out of the 22 stories I really found there was something to like in all of them. Yes there will always be one or two you like more than others but this was really well worth the listen for me.
What other book might you compare Sweet Danger: Erotic Stories of Forbidden Desire for Couples to and why?
There are so many, if you look up any anthologies by Rachel Kramer Brussel and Alison Tyler you'll find a whole bunch of titles that are kinky enough to share with your favorite person.
What about Rose Caraway’s performance did you like?
She did an excellent job of narration, with male voices and female voices. Also expressing emotions.
Any additional comments?
This anthology was put together very well,, as I would expect some one like Violet Blue to do. I enjoyed all the stories. (again in an anthology you will like some more than others) however I didn't dislike any. Well worth purchase.

An Erotic Treasure!!
Would you listen to Sweet Danger: Erotic Stories of Forbidden Desire for Couples again? Why?
Most definitely. This is a great collection of stories and the narrator, Rose Caraway, does a superb job!!
Who was your favorite character and why?
Very hard to chose given there are so many. I do envy the husband in the story Old Friends!!
Which scene was your favorite?
NT Moreley's Old Friends was probably my favorite though they were all great!!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, most definitely!!
Any additional comments?
Sweet Danger is one hot book! As editor, Violet Blue has done a great job selecting some of the most steamy stories ever written and Rose Caraway shows herself to be a master (mistress?) at reading the stories. Rose's passion and voice inflection in her narrations really turn up the temperature. This is one of the best erotic audiobooks I've ever listened to. This should be on everyone's reading and listening list! Designed for couples, this book has something for everyone. There is plenty of an@l, threesomes, D/s, a gang bang and even a pegging! Don't miss out!! Grab this today. You won't be disappointed.

Wonderfully daring
If you could sum up Sweet Danger: Erotic Stories of Forbidden Desire for Couples in three words, what would they be?
Brave, Hardcore, and Sweet
What other book might you compare Sweet Danger: Erotic Stories of Forbidden Desire for Couples to and why?
I know everyone is going gaga over 50 Shades of Grey (including my wife) but this one is definitely more up our alley. This is not the long drawn out clichéd billionaire tycoon into sado-masochism "does he really love me?" trope. Sweet Danger already assumes love and goes from there, and it is not so one sided. This book is short sexual interludes into the sexual lives of loving couples taking a walk on the wild side... THE REALLY WILD SIDE.Sweet Danger taps into the deepest fantasies that we all think about. Perhaps not as explicitly as some of the stories in here, but there are elements of each story that ring true. Understand that there are many things in this book that we probably wouldn't like to do in "real life" but in "fantasy life", they are nothing short of perfect. This book boldly takes you down a daring road of trust and your partners deepest desires and does it unapologetically, and yes... with love.
What about Rose Caraway’s performance did you like?
She's awesome! My wife and I lover her podcast the Kiss Me Quick's and as far as we're concerned, she can do no wrong. We love you Rose! Keep them coming (no pun intended).
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No crying, but lots of laughing, a little embarrassment, and some good conversations about each others deeper sexual desires. Needless to say, my wife and I had a really good time.

Embracing the darker side of erotic fantasies.
When approaching audiobooks, you really have to consider two reviews: one for the narrator, and one for the material itself. I'll tackle the second one first.
Violet Blue, in her introduction, warns that the material inside can be quite dark, and I couldn't agree more. Erotica, probably more than any other fiction, is very personal and can be quite divisive, and I have to admit I've never come across an anthology with more highs and lows than this one. Several of the stories I found very intriguing, and a couple downright hot, but at least one story almost made me throw my iPod across the room. I'm all for angry or dangerous sex, but some of the "fantasies" here seemed to me to border on hate and spite, pulled out of the abyss (rather cheaply I beleive) at the last moment with the comforting assurance that all parties were willing. I'm a firm believer in "to each their own", but be warned that there will come across some hash material, some of it quite uncomfortable for most people. Caveat emptor.
Now for the narrator. I"m a great admirer of Rose Caraway, whose enthusiam and obvious delight in narrating erotica, along with the perfect blend of little girl and lustful succubus that is her voice really sells the material, especially when she's voicing the women. She REALLY gets into it, and rest assured you WILL react.
Overall I think this was a worthwhile anthology, but like I said be prepared to the possibility of being turned off as well as on. Perhaps I wouldn't have had as strong a reaction if I had been reading it instead if listening to it, but Rose's passionate reading, really bringing out the rawness of some stories, made some of the scenes too vivid for me, and I suspect some of you as well...so proceed with caution.

Even my wife is listening
Would you listen to Sweet Danger: Erotic Stories of Forbidden Desire for Couples again? Why?
Yes. This has provided some new ideas for fantasy play.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Sweet Danger: Erotic Stories of Forbidden Desire for Couples?
In Dress Me Up, where the woman is walking thru the restaurant and all the women are hating her, and all of the men staring.
Have you listened to any of Rose Caraway’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes. This compares well. Rose has an incredibly erotic voice.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Lots. Especially once my wife started listening.
Any additional comments?
My wife normally won't listen to erotica, she prefers reading. But she became enthralled with this audiobook.

Rose Does It Again!
This book is VERY GOOD! I bought this to share with my wife thinking this was going to be kind of a "saucy" romance thing. OMG was I wrong.
This book is full-tilt kick ass erotica with nothing, and I mean NOTHING, left off the table. There were sex acts in this book that I didn't even know people were into, and even more shocking, that my wife and I are apparently into as well. This book has opened our eyes as to what sex and love is really about- TRUST!
Do we recommend this?
Oh ya! We would recommend this book and everything Rose Caraway does. Especially her iTunes podcast. Rose has turned a giant spotlight onto our love life, and we couldn't be happier about it.
Thank you Rose.
Can't wait till the next one!

Hardcore appeal and playfulness for both sexes
Sweet Danger describes this collection well, as Violet Blue continues in the spirit of her earlier collection, Sweet Heat. In these erotic short stories laws are broken, taboos are thrown aside, and characters get hot and messy. This is not garden-variety erotica. This is explicit. Yet, it is explicit with an underlying sweetness – the characters within are all willing participants. While the stories tip their toes over the edge of traditionally acceptable behavior, everyone is safe and consenting.
I’m lucky to have this book in audio format, read by Rose Caraway. Rose has a genuine and upbeat voice that is easy to listen to. She is particularly energetic in the graphic descriptions of sexual action. This is a performer who does not shy away from the most descriptive and extreme fantasies. Rose takes you there, and her voice has the right spark to match the temperature of the story.
Although they are short stories, they are not “quickies.” I recommend them one at a time, when you have a chance to kick back and lose yourself in the story. Some of the stories take a while to build up, but they are rooted in raw sexuality and most of the chapter will contain full on tension and action.
The book is promoted as being “for couples.” That is true, and the stories can certainly spark ideas if you read or listen with someone special. But they are satisfying trysts if you prefer to keep your arousal to yourself. You might find a chapter or two that you’d like to share, like a gift of candy. This book has several fun, naughty readings for those who want to spark inspiration in the mind of their partner.
The details are graphic; the sex can be messy. There might be themes that act as a turn-off. But, there is something in this book for everyone, regardless of gender. The stories are mainly heterosexual, although some new horizons get explored occasionally.
Each story highlights a different, dangerous scenario. Subjects run a wide range including bondage and pegging (Old Friends), happy ending massage parlors (Full Body), Skype sex for hire (Takes All Comers), S&M Clubs (House Rules), and humiliating public group sex (Dress Me Up). Give all 20 stories a listen, even if you’re not comfortable with the topic. At the least, you’ll learn a new perspective. At the best, you’ll find an enjoyable diversion in your day.
You can trust Violet’s editorial skills to give you explicit erotica that is also well written. A solid selection of authors are chosen, and it is particularly delicious to a man like me that some of the most raw and dangerous writing is done by the female writers (like in the unsettling “Dinner Out,” by Marie Sudac.)
