She's dreaming of a life of excitement and romance.
When rising rock star Joe Hawk wanders into the diner where Liss works her dark night is brightened by his incredibly blue eyes and sexy smile. The attraction is immediate and every moment is charged with erotic heat.
He's searching for something real.
The first impression is easy. Taking the next step is much harder. The plus sized beauty has to overcome her insecurities to take a risk on a man whose life is the opposite of everything she knows and changing faster than either of them knows.
This was a really quick read about Liss, a Diner waitress, and Joe, a budding rock star. Liss finds it hard to believe that someone as good looking as Joe can truly be attracted to her larger body. She makes self-defeating comments about her body and assumes he's only interested in a one night stand.
While the book was only a 1 hour 20 mins listen, I enjoyed the story. Joe and Liss hooking up is probably a fantasy scenario that doesn't happen often, but that's the beauty of fiction. You can get lost in "what could be".
"Stay with me. Come with me. Live inside this storm for a while. We can keep each other from flying apart. I don’t want to wake up without you again, Liss." - Joe
I look forward to hearing how their journey unfolds in the next book.
Very brief romantic novella about a plus-sized woman and a super-sexy (slim) rock star who fall in love with each other.
