Their love is destined to shatter the boundaries of time....

Archaeology grad student Alexandra Larson’s world is turned upside down when her mother shares her deepest, darkest secret - that she doesn’t know the true identity of Lex’s father. The revelation sparks a change within Lex, and her dreams become far too real. She sees things she shouldn’t be able to see...knows things she couldn’t possibly know. Terrifying things. Deadly things.

To distract her from the surreal changes taking over her life, Lex leaps at the chance to join an Egyptian excavation run by Oxford’s enigmatic Professor Marcus Bahur. But the distraction might be more than she bargained for. While deciphering the secrets of a mysterious stone tablet, Lex falls headlong into a prophecy created by a dying god over four millennia ago. She must rely on her frightening new psychic powers to dig up the truth. And it doesn’t take long for her visions to convince her that both Professor Bahur and his excavation are much more than they seem....

The past clashes with the present in this paranormal saga of ancient prophecies and warring gods. If you like Egyptian mythology, steamy romance, time-bending mysteries, and complex characters, then you’ll love this sprawling time travel adventure.

This was a fun book to listen to. It's alternate explanation of the original pantheon of Egyptian gods was unique and really help set up the series.

Interesting twist to Egyptian mythology

I got this because I was headed to Egypt and wanted to get in the mindset. (I also got some more serious books about colonialism and politics, this was the fluffy fun.)

The idea is interesting. The writer may need to brush up on grammar - there were quite a few ??? moments . And the narrator…. Cannot do accents and pronounced at least 10 words consistently wrong. She wa otherwise okay, but it seems like there are hundreds of other narrators who might do the text and it’s international cast of characters justice.

I’ll listen to the next one because I’m curious to see what happens, but I may not stick it out after that.

Fun new take on supernatural romance with iffy grammar and meh narration

I really liked this book. The idea was novel. However, I found the very end difficult to follow. Too much happened too fast. It was almost as though the author were racing to finish the book. I kept rewinding to try and make sense of the conclusion, but I never could. It just became too tiring to figure it out. However, I will certainly buy the second book when it becomes available in audio.

Enjoyable but Confusing Ending

I have listened to this whole series 4x now since buying the audiobook series 2.5 years ago. This is now one of my go to stories when I can’t find anything new to read. I even have this on kindle.

Love this series!

Is no one else bothered by her love interest being her first cousin once removed?
