Publisher's summary
Before the Ebola epidemic, before the Starve, Ava Panic is a lonely teen.
Ava is caught inside the barricades as the U.S. descends into martial law. Food prices skyrocket, and riots fill the streets.
But Ava meets handsome Cade at her karate dojo, and her life changes overnight.
Cade is popular, wealthy, a top student. Heady days follow of friendship and freedom, and budding romance. Ava finally belongs. The mean streets are their playground.
But there's a dark side to Cade. And maybe being with others isn't safer.
Maybe it's a trap.
Ebola Day is a prequel to Feral King or Feral Recruit, in Ginger Booth's kick-butt urban survival Feral America series.

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

In the heart of the South Pacific lies Point Nemo, the most desolate and remote place on Earth. At its core is a dead zone, devoid of life, where government agencies crash their obsolete satellites and space stations, confident they won't harm a soul. When the International Space Station suffers a catastrophic failure and plummets through the atmosphere, it's here that Mission Specialist Julie Rohr, an astrobiologist studying living space dust called xylem, finds herself marooned. Julie's only hope for rescue lies in the hands of her estranged father, Dr. Finn Maddern, a renowned mycologist.

Story
The black Dust fell for over a week. Adam Blake, a seasoned survival expert, was trapped in his first floor flat in a small suburb of southeast London—no food, no cell service, and no communication with the outside world. Then the dust stopped falling, As the residents of Buckingham Avenue were left bewildered, there was no sign of help, no emergency services, no police. Just Adam and his confused neighbors. The storm was just as sudden—violent, coming out of nowhere. It was as if the town was cursed. Then came the vines.

A well-told story, well-told!
Having read the author's other work, I already knew this would be a great story, with rich, real characters. She's an amazing artist in the medium of language.
What I didn't know was how the computer-generated voice would be. I was very happy to find the voice is very life-like!
For long stretches, I forgot completely that it's not a human voice.
If this is the future of audiobooks, it's a very bright one!
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
